• The mayor trying to talk down Dark Surfer fails, but he's the only hero to attempt anything until the Squad shows up. And he has no powers to boot!
• Thor punching the Executioner through several buildings in "Mental Organism Designed Only for Kissing" without his hammer!
• The minute Hulk drops the fractal that made him smart in "Hulk Talk Smack", he curb-stomps every villain in his path. Special mention goes to him slingshooting the Toad by his tongue into the side of a canyon.
  • Speaking of Toad, he proves what a Not-So-Harmless Villain he is by holding his own against Iron Man, Thor, Silver Surfer, and Wolverine (albeit briefly).
• The Squad double-crossing Dr. Doom in "Deadly Is The Black Widow's Bite!", revealing Songbird had been an undercover agent for them all along.
