• The Shoveler makes choosing not to eat an egg-salad sandwich a decision worthy of the gods themselves.
  • Nobody but William H. Macy could have delivered this speech without it sounding utterly ridiculous.
• In the end, it comes down to Casanova Frankenstein against Mr. Furious.
  Mr. Furious: Rage... taking over...
  Casanova: Ya, ya, ya. We've heard all that before.
  Mr. Furious: No, no, no... Rage... really taking over...
• The Herkimer Battle Jitney. The only thing missing was Flaming Carrot himself, considering the Mystery Men were originally a two-part story in issues 16-17 of the Carrot's comic book. Worth the read if you can find 'em.
• Yes, they got their asses handed to them by mooks shortly after, but after Raja and Shoveler make their entrance and defeat Big Red, we knew who to root for.
• While it's no great victory, after tailing Casanova's limo, the group totally trash his car, with Roy catapulted onto the roof to attack, Spleen farting through the window, Blue Raja hurling a fork that deflects off the inside of the limo and jams the door locks and Bowler throwing Carmine through the windows. Though the gangsters track them later to try to get revenge, the group gain their first victory after being butt monkeys for the first half of the movie.
• The Sphinx's first appearance, telekinetically destroying the Disco Boys' guns to save the group.
• Invisible Boy realising that, while he is only invisible as long as nobody (not even Invisible Boy) is looking, that might just allow him to shut down the automated killing device above the door to the secret lair.
• Carmine the Bowling Ball going ape-shit on the Psychofragulator.
• Dr. Heller's inventions are goofy and silver-age inspired, but they all absolutely work. The man truly is a an unparallelled genius.
  • That's what it says on the card.
• Likewise, the Sphinx seems like a mix of Eccentric Mentor and Bunny-Ears Lawyer, but his Ice Cream Koans and silly training actually help the team unlock their potential and become true heroes.
• The entire final battle is an extended Crowning Moment of Awesome with full use of their "powers" to the greatest advantage.
