It all has to start somewhere...
Film
- Scarlet Overkill is made of awesome, from being the first notorious female supervillain to her rocket dress.
- In her introduction scene, she takes on a group of supervillains. ALL. BY. HERSELF.
- She survived a chandelier after the Minions accidentally dropped it.
- As stated by Tina Nelson, Scarlet started her criminal empire when she was just thirteen.
- In some strange way, Scarlet managing to steal Queen Elizabeth's crown without anyone paying attention.
- The final showdown, with Kevin growing into a giant and saving Bob and Stuart while fighting against Scarlet.
- At the end when Scarlet and Herb steal Elizabeth's crown, only for them to suddenly get frozen in their tracks and the crown snatched away from them. Who was it that did this? None other than Gru himself, as a young boy. Compounded by the ending words of the narrator:"He was perfect! He was...despicable."
- Gru's Badass Boast right before also counts:
Scarlet: Child, give me that back.
Gru: [Smiles] No, I don't think so!
Scarlet: You have no idea who you're messing with! I am the greatest super villain of all time!
Gru: [Chuckles] Oh, were you?- Even more awesome? Scarlet's criminal empire became infamous at the age of thirteen. Gru was only eight years old during the events of this movie, and he just out-villained her like a pro with nothing but a stolen freeze gun. Talk about a Badass Adorable.
- The minions got some pretty cool moments in the movie but the chase scene with the Minions fleeing from Scarlet had them taking out several of the supervillains chasing them in creative ways and evading them very effectively was probably the best.
- Bob reaching up out of the water to get his bear after Frankie Fishlips caught him.
- Stuart was caught only because the sumo guy happened to be standing in the right spot when the explosion went off and was surprised that the thing on his stomach was the Stuart. So Stuart was caught by luck.
- The royal guards' and British police's response to what starts off as attempted theft of the crown jewels, and then the queen's kidnapping, purely defying The Guards Must Be Crazy and Police Are Useless.
- The first wave of guards, although they're defeated by the Hypno-Hat, immediately yell at the Minions to get out of the restricted area.
- The second guard who's immune to the Hypno Ray and jams up the Lava Gun without breaking the sweat. All while blind and deaf!
- The police who spot Bob with the mechanical legs and immediately go for the limbs to trip him up and stop him from reaching the carriage, before Bob's intentions are even made clear. When they fail to stop Kevin from making off with the carriage, they immediately call for backup. Now THAT is how you foil a kidnapping!
- Queen Elizabeth giving an impressive smackdown to Stuart after he takes her crown.
- After being dethroned, she also managed to arm wrestle a man with absolutely no trouble before downing a pint in one gulp.
- Stuart's electric guitar solo at the end (specifically, the second half of "Eruption" by Van Halen.)
