Awesome / Low Ki

• Before signing with WWE in 2009, Low Ki made few appearances in the promotion when it was known as WWF on Jakked/Metal from 2000 to 2002, taking on Crash Holly, Essa Rios, Raven, and Christian, looking impressive in all of those matches. He even got to compete in Madison Square Garden in those few occasions.
• On November 30, 2001, Low Ki defended the Impact Championship Wrestling World Title against Eddie Guerrero in the latter's first match after being fired by WWF. He would successfully defend the title against the future WWE Champion in a great match that's helped by Guerrero insisting on putting Low Ki over instead of going with a draw.
• Low Ki faced Bryan Danielson and Christopher Daniels in the main event of Ring of Honor's inaugural event The Era of Honor Begins. All three men showcase what kind of promotion ROH is gonna be and they have been deemed the founding fathers of the promotion.
• At Crowning a Champion, Low Ki prevails in a Four Way Iron Man match against Christopher Daniels, Doug Williams, and Spanky to become the inaugural ROH (World) Champion.
• Low Ki took on Samoa Joe in the latter's ROH debut in the promotion's first ever Fight Without Honor match. The bout felt like an actual fight as both men exchanged stiff strikes. In the end, Low Ki prevailed and Joe, who was hired by Christopher Daniels to take him out, shook hands with him after the match. The match itself was awesome for Joe as it was supposed to be his only appearance in ROH but he had such a tremendous performance that the promotion booked him full-time.
• He made his Pro Wrestling Noah debut in 2004 challenging Yoshinobu Kanemaru for the GHC Jr. Heavyweight Championship. Although he came up short, he put up such a splendid showing that NOAH founder Mitsuharu Misawa commended him backstage after the match.
• He gets a second shot at the GHC Jr. Heavyweight Championship at Final Battle 2005, this time facing KENTA for it. Ki proved to be the perfect opponent for KENTA in the latter's US debut as both men provided a hard hitting match that had the crowd chanting "Match of the Year!" and "5 star match!" after KENTA defeats Ki to retain the title.
• On September 21, 2008, Low Ki defeats Tiger Mask IV to win the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship for the first time. The jubilation on his face upon winning says it all.
• While his career in the WWE didn't pan out well for him, Low Ki still had plenty of awesome moments in the promotion as Kaval:
  • Kaval delivering a springboard Warrior's Way on Eli Cottonwood to get the 7 ft giant off his feet in their match is a stirring sight to behold.
  • Kaval scored his first victory on NXT Season 2 by pinning Alex Riley in a six-man tag match. He would go on to be ranked first in the first Rookie's poll. All of which LayCool is ecstatic.
  • Kaval taking on the Rookie Obstacle Challenge. While he wasn't able to beat Michael McGillicutty's record for the fastest time, he was the most impressive of the NXT Season 2 Rookies taking the course that, besides LayCool commending him for his efforts, even Kofi Kingston^note McGillicutty's Pro and John Morrison were impressed.
  • After suffering setbacks (i.e. losing matches and dropping to second place in the second Rookie's poll), Kaval scores his second victory of the season by pinning Michael McGillicutty in yet another six-man tag match and regains the number one ranking in the third Rookie's poll.
  • After losing to him in two of their singles encounter (in addition to being pinned by him in a six-man tag match on Raw), Kaval finally beats Husky Harris in their third match. He also survives double elimination to make it to the final three.
  • Kaval beats Michael McGillicutty and Alex Riley in a Trivia Challenge and the reward? Him being in the background of the WWE website the day after.
  • Winning NXT Season 2. While he got beaten down by his fellow rookies afterwards and despite having a poor win-loss record (being 3-6-0), he was so popular with the WWE Universe due to his in-ring skills that they voted for him to survive elimination, including double elimination, and win the season.
  • Though it's rendered moot by losing his spot to Tyler Reks^note who transitioned to Gabbi Ruft in 2021 immediately after, Kaval lasted five minutes against Big Show to qualify for Team SmackDown at Bragging Rights 2010.
  • Kaval scored his first victory on SmackDown against Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler and declared afterwards that he would cash in his championship opportunity from winning NXT Season 2 to challenge Ziggler for said title at Survivor Series. The crowd even erupted when he finally won.
  • Competing for the Intercontinental Title in his first and only WWE PPV appearance at Survivor Series and despite coming up short, Kaval gives out a strong showing against Dolph Ziggler, doing awe-inspiring moves such as landing on his feet when attempting a Phoenix Splash that Ziggler moved out of the way of and landing on the top rope to do a Tidal Wave on him that got a reaction out of the crowd^note He did the same thing to Drew McIntyre in his SmackDown debut match prior.
• At Destination X 2011, Low Ki faced Austin Aries, Jack Evan, and Zema Ion to determine who would get a contract with TNA. The match was so brilliant and stole the event the crowd chanted "Sign them all!'' It was also the 3rd runner-up for Pro Wrestling Illustrated's Match of the Year award.
• Upon returning to New Japan Pro-Wrestling, he defeats Prince Devitt at Wrestling Dontaku 2012 to win his second IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship.
• He competed in the 19th Best of the Super Juniors winning all of his matches, only losing in the finals to old rival Ryusuke Taguchi.
• After losing the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship to Kota Ibushi at Last Rebellion, Low Ki regains the title at King of Pro-Wrestling.
• Though he loses the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Title, Low Ki and Prince Devitt had a great title match at Power Struggle 2012.
• Even though it got him blacklisted from NJPW, he competed the entirety of the three-way match for the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship against defending champion Prince Devitt and Kota Ibushi at Wrestle Kingdom 7 dressed as Agent 47.
