Awesome: Dreamgirls
  • Crowning Music of Awesome: Its big showstopping number, "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going" Just watch this clip from the 1982 Tony Awards. And yes, that's Loretta Devine.
  • At the end of the 2006 movie, when the dreams finish singing "Hard To Say Goodbye," Deena makes a speech and admits that there are actually four dreams, and the fourth dream turns out to be Effie. Then, Effie finally gets to sing lead when the group sings the Triumphant Reprise song. The best part comes when the Dreams burst out "We'll be THERE!" three times as the movie ends. This also doubles as a Heartwarming Moment.
