  • Cell from U17 vs Dabura from U11. Near the end of the battle Cell gets hit by Dabura's Stoning spit and is turning to stone. So what does he do to avoid losing from this? HE RIPS OFF HIS HEAD FROM HIS BODY to regenerate from his head to to win because Dabura is too weak after the rest of the fight and was using the stoning spit as a last resort measure to win.
  • Vegito vs. Broly. Enough said.
  • Vegeta says the Cell Jr the Super Namek is fighting is as strong as the original Perfect Cell (after coming back from his botched suicide). Gast immediately blows the Cell Jr's brains out in one shot.
  • In the first Universe 3 special we get to see "The Saiyan's Rebellion" and it awesome. Bardock due to different choices manages to avoid being bogged down on Planet Meat and when the other Saiyan's attempt to laugh off his warning's about Frieza Bardock derails history by challenging King Vegeta for the Throne. He proceeds to win and become the King of all Saiyans. Using his wits and future visions Bardock sets up a plan to kill Frieza before he can genocide the Saiyan race.
    • The plan itself is all sorts of awesome. First the Saiyan's use artificial moons to transform into Oozaru's en-masse, Bardock sends the strongest Saiyan alive (Hanasia) ahead of the Oozaru horde to break into Frieza's ship and disable the shields, when Dodoria catches her and proves too much to deal with one on one, Hanasia transforms into an Oozaru and physically rips out of the ship. The second the shields are down every single Saiyan warrior in Oozaru forms blasts Frieza's ship to hell. Since Frieza was in his normal (weakest) form this actually killed him.
  • U7 Nail has one when he hits Frieza in the face while he's busy talking about his power level.
    • The whole damn chapter counts. Despite the Bittersweet nature of it. Seeing the collective might of the Namekian people utterly destroying Frieza is a joy. The best bit being how none of Frieza's transformations make any difference.
  • King Cold revealing his original form for all (including the viewers) to see. How powerful is it? If he had this form when he fought Trunks, Trunks would have lost. Videl was right to quit.
    • The U12/U14 novelization and the U7 special elaborate that Cold was unable to master that power. This has to count for something even though it was Ginyu who ended up being able to actually master and refine that power.
    • And now he shows he not only has access to a fifth form like Cooler, Cold one-upped him by transforming again into a veritable Eldritch Abomination. Damn.
    • Even though she lost, mad props to Videl for actually keeping up with third-form Cold, which Future Trunks remarks would have made his fight with Cold an actual, well, fight.
  • Page 609. Pan vs U13 Kakarotto. Pan starts charging a Kamehameha, only for Kakarotto to stop her by grabbing her arms. The one thing he didn't see coming was Pan firing the damn thing from her feet, scoring a clean hit on Kakarotto!
    • And now Pan has gone Super Saiyan! Too bad she still forfeited the fight.
  • Pages 566 to 577 are a big one for Future Trunks. He can't go beyond Ultra Super Saiyan (which canonically has about the same power as Super Saiyan 2, but is hampered by a loss of speed) so he compensates by using it in a manner similar to the Kaiou-ken. The result being that he's able to fight Super Saiyan 2 Vegeta near equally. He still loses, but it's enough for Vegeta to give him props, and a reminder that the power of a technique is not always as important as how you use it.
  • On Page 746, when Gast tells you to calm down, you calm down even if he has to magic you into a ball.
    • The Grand Supreme Kai gets one by near effortlessly replicating Gast's ability just by seeing it once.
  • Zen Buu gets plenty of his own, most notably when he carves a statue of himself during his fight with Gotenks.
  • The whole Bardock VS King Cold fight. Cold, in his final form, gives Bardock the fight of his life.
    • Not to forget that Cold actually manages to WIN the fight, reminding us all of the terrified awe most of us felt when we first saw Frieza's family at their full power.
    • Not only that, King Cold reaches 100% of his power in a second when it took Frieza several seconds to do the same.
  • The Universe 8 Special Chapter, ending with Frieza killing EVERYONE might just as well be called: "Why Krillin is awesome." In a single chapter, he manages to behead Vegeta, kill Appule, and seriously annoy Zarbon. In the next chapter, he actually inflicts some serious damage on Monster Zarbon with his Solar Flare + Kienzan combo (Zarbon just barely dodged it, but not completely), which leaves him weak enough for an angry Gohan to finish him off. No small feats for somebody who already counts as a member of Team Cannon-Fodder.
  • Chapter 41 is basically "more Gast awesomeness." Upon encountering Cooler, Gast doesn't even bother with his subordinates, and goes in for the kill immediately. Cooler basically goes down in three hits. Oh, and Vegeta and Cui are still his bitches. And as if that wasn't enough, he goes after Cold, tanks everything Cold throws at him when he is in his final form, all while giving him a barrage of scathing remarks.
  • U18!Vegeta Vs U13!Kakarotto : Vegeta beats the shit out of Kakarotto in the span of one chapter. And says that he should follow the example of the kid he beat and her grandfather, "Son Goku".
  • The battle between Cell and Tapion has some pretty epic moments to it, such as Cell showing he can grow giant like a few Namekians.
  • Before the fight between King Cold and U16!Bra, Cold is able to manipulate her into agreeing to not turn into a Super Saiyan or she'll be disqualified. Then before the match officially begins, Cold shows he has a fifth form just like Cooler, but then he takes it a step further and shows that he has an even stronger 6th form! Even Bra was surprised by this new development.
    • And then Piccolo goes and points out that this new form puts him on par with Perfect Cell from the Cell Games (before he went Super-Perfect). Holy crap. This has everyone else question what they thought, i.e that Freeza and company were too proud to train and better themselves.
    • Said new form deserves a crowner for the illustrator, Asura.
    • After spending a few minutes recreating a Tennis Boss between himself and U16!Bra, King Cold decides he's had enough, charges in, and delivers a truly vicious punch to her midsection that causes her to cough up blood. Then, he engages in a Rapid-Fire Fisticuffs No-Holds-Barred Beatdown that leaves U16!Bra a bloodied and beaten mess unable to even stand.
    • Though he eventually loses the battle due Bra being smarter than she seemed, at the end he manages to say one word that could potentially do more damage than anything he did in the fight: Change!! Which is the trademark of Ginyu... Can it be...?
    • It was, and it works. Ginyu, who was posing as King Cold the entire time, body swaps with Bra just as she wins the match. Bra is left in the dying body of King Cold while Ginyu can enjoy Bra's young and powerful Saiyan body. It took Vegetto's intervention to put her back in her body...
  • Gast vs Raichi starts out with Raichi playing mind games by summoning the dead Namekians of U3 to attack Gast. Gast's response? He effortlessly charges through them and destroys Raichi's barrier the second he touches it. If it wasn't for Raichi using U13 Vegeta the match could have ended right there.
  • From Babidi's trap :
    • U18!Goten providing a distraction that enabled U18!Gohan to pulverize the mini-Cells and let Piccolo save Videl and U18!Bra.
    • A lowkey one for U18!Bra actually stunning Nappa with a reflex knee to the chin. This is from a girl who has not trained at all in her life, and mostly played for fun value but still. This makes good on Vegeta's comment that U18!Bra could also go Super Saiyan if she trained.
    • Some badass uncorrupted spectators picking up the slack to beat up and rein in the possessed ones.
    • Goten, again, thoroughly untrained still holding back Kakarot from pursuing Videl or Bra, and refusing to back down even though he knows he's not in the right league.
      • He also helps landing the killing blow on U13!Kakarot, holding him back as he went SSJ2 while U19 Heloite warrior unleashes an Ultra Weaver on him. This very nearly ended up in a Heroic Sacrifice.
    • U19 Heloites showing they don't have the time for nonsense, jumping in the fray with their laser guns.
      • Killing the one in their ranks who ended up corrupted in a Tear Jerker Mexican Standoff moment, at a great price.
      • Giving Dabra one hell of a scare, since he ended up that close to getting beheaded by a laser beam.
      • And then completely No-Selling his Taken for Granite ability, and opening a huge gaping hole in his chest.
      • U13!Kakarot getting this from the back, but this is actually a CMoA for him since he actually GOT UP from getting his freaking HEART stabbed, ready for more fighting. The U19 fighter also deserves one for his reflexes in dodging U13!Kakarot as he tried to cave his skull in.
    • U18!Gohan, freed and looking for Babidi with Piccolo takes the time to observe his U16 counterpart's plight, and they both realize they think the same, and cooperate, at the drop of a hat. Cue Cell being utterly surprised by this, as he did NOT expect U18!Gohan to actually risk attacking him with enough power to rip off Cell's tail, which would also wound U16!Piccolo and U16!Gohan, and risk killing U16!Videl. Both Gohans counted on U16!Gohan's reflexes, on U18's power and control, on U16!Piccolo and U16!Gohan's resistance to sustain acceptable minor injuries given the situation, AND ensure U16!Videl was 100% unwounded. And it worked. And it was glorious.
      • At last we see how Gohan can put his intellect to use. Two Mystic Gohans cooperating without a word? Now THAT'S a scary thought for evil doers.
    • On another level, Cell further gives hints to him not being completely under Babidi's Mind Control by way of his independently targeting the Gohans.
    • U18!Piccolo, until this point a mere participant on account of not being in the right league, decides to take some well needed revenge for his people, and UTTERLY man-handles Majin!Frieza and Majin!Cooler, and at the SAME TIME to boot. As he forces Cooler to block a punch with BOTH hands and even so with visible difficulty, Piccolo is not even breaking a sweat, and tops it off by having enough time to spare to turn his gaze towards a very ticked off Frieza about to unleash a Death Ball, and nails what would be by all accounts a fatal blow to the chest with his eye beams, which did not stick because of the Majin transformation, but still deserves points for effort and perfect execution.
  • Debatable if it's a Oh, Crap! or an evil Determinator moment, but Majin!Frieza and U13!Kakarot shrugging away puncture wounds to the heart and going to a further tier of power level, namely U13!Kakarot going SSJ2 and Majin!Frieza going into augmented form like Coola should at least qualify in-universe for the side of the bad guys, if only because Frieza only got barely a hint that this was possible through U3!Raichi's ghost warrior version.
  • Four words : Bending. Special. Beam. Cannons. Yes, plural. It is simply glorious how Piccolo completely dispatches Frieza with these. Cooler also ends maimed quite badly.
  • U16!Piccolo pulling a Big Damn Heroes for U18!Piccolo who was fully spent after the above, vaporizing Cooler outright. Simply glorious.
  • In Special Chapter 62 Bulma gets one, faced with the threat of the Android Twins managing to render her recreated Gero shut down remote non-functional she all but laughs in the murderously furious 17's faces and reveal's that she has taken the Mundane Solution and sent the remote blue prints to scientists all around the world who would soon build a long range version. Even if the Andoroids kill all the Z-fighters they will not be able to terrorize the world like they did in Trunk's Bad Future.
    • Android 16 and Krillin get a joint not action based but still noteworthy moment when 16 first refuses to go through with 17's desperate plan to kill anyone who could create a remote, and then Krillin manages To Win Without Fighting by pointing that just because humanity has the ability to kill the Androids they don't want to unless the Androids give them a reason. He tops it off by bringing up how Goku allowed Piccolo and Vegeta to live despite their pasts and with some support from Goku, Gohan and Tien the situation was resolved peacefully.
  • U16!Gohan managing to block a Special Beam Cannon bare-handed, crippling his hand, but surviving the blow, then pulling a feint on Cell and giving him the mother of all elbows to the face.
  • U18!Gohan using Awesomeness by Analysis by figuring out how Babidi hides in a crack of dimensions close to reality, and bruteforcing his way through the isolated space.
  • Lowkey, but U9 dispatching Majin Jeece and Majin Sauzer is very satisfying.
  • In the fifth Universe 3 special, Vegeta's challenge to Broly for the throne is pure awesomeness:
    • Considering what happened when canon!Vegeta first saw Broly becoming the Legendary Super Saiyan, the simple fact that U3!Vegeta challenges his Broly knowing he's the Legendary Super Saiyan is this.
    • After awakening the Super Saiyan state through pure self-loathing, and following Bardock's plan, Vegeta challenges Broly, and, in their chosen battlefield of a Heliorite space station orbiting some planet, they fight... And Vegeta utterly and completely overwhelms his more powerful opponent, thanks to the fact he finely honed his fighting prowess while Broly utterly sucks at fighting.
    • When Broly uses his Legendary Super Saiyan state, something that hadn't happened ever since he killed Cold and Cooler at the same time, Vegeta starts being overpowered and, after the station is destroyed in the crossfire between them and then between Broly and some Helior elite soldiers, convinces him to land on the planet to fight better, as Bardock had suggested him. It was Helior itself.
  • The heroes of U9 vs Majin Cell Junior is one for the baseline earthlings. While individually weaker than their opponent, the U9 fighters put on up impressive resistance using innovative tactics and teamwork. Krillin uses his Katchyin shell armour to block an attack on the Elder Kai and Raditz, Tien and Yamcha tag team the Cell Junior at exactly the right moment to give Videl an edge. The most impressive is Videl herself who uses Kaioken to an impressive level, powering up enough to batter the monster around the apartment and when her allies lock the bio-android down she caves the Cell Junior's skull in!.
  • Zen Buu's time granting wishes (or killing the wishers depending on his judgement) is pure awesomeness:
    • To get a wish granted there's an immense line. Almost nobody tries to jump it, and those who do... They inform everyone why they should stay in line.
    • Videl gets one for her attempts to have Zen Buu release Gohan and the others. No matter how many times she gets denied, she always gets back in the line to try and get Gohan and the others back.
  • Chapter 68 is titled "Heroes' Fury"... But it could as well be named "Don't fuck with the Gohans", because when the villains push their Berserk Button one time too many... Well, here's what happens:
    • U13!Nappa and U13!Kakarot have beaten up a Goten and U18!Bra. Then, suddenly, Gohan dishes the mother of all No-Holds-Barred Beatdowns against them and literally reducing them to bloody bits.
    • Ginyu fresh off from murdering his way through the Supreme Kai's and in his equal to Perfect Cell form roars to the sky of his victory and promptly gets obliterated by a 100% done with this Gohan.
    • Cell kills both Videl's and Piccolo's seemingly to spite U16!Gohan for abandoning their earlier fight. Cue Gohan hitting his Rage Breaking Point, powering up to such an extent that even Cell looks alarmed and firing off a Final Flash style attack so powerful it one shots Cell and punches clean through the planet the stadium is on.
    • Babidi attempts to buy some time by teleporting U18!Gohan away and sending Majin Buu after him, Gohan effortlessly and spectacularly beats the snot of Buu to the point the Nigh-Invulnerable being faints, then Gohan sensing that Videl is dead decides that he needs to end this now. Cue him creating a Kienzan the size of a building that tears through the stadium towards Babidi killing Majin Bardock and utterly terrifying the wizard.
    • On the villain side of things the chapter ends with the reveal of what Babidi's "Plan B" was. Majin Bra is here and she perfectly sells her threat level by cutting clean through the aforementioned building sized Kienzan and making U16!Gohan fresh off destroying Cell freak out.
  • Chapter 70 has a few cool moments:
    • The Piccolos waking up, since their brains were intact, killing the sadistic mook who was mocking them. Then, they realize this means Cell deliberately spared them...
    • And then Cell regenerates from his core, having trained to avoid dying to a strong energy blast, revealing he was pulling Xanatos Speed Chess to deal with Babidi unleashing Majin Bra.
    • Majin Bra proves that there is a very good reason the likes of Cell admitted he would not be able to defeat her one on one by utterly dominating both Gohan's at once all while sporting a eager grin.
    • After watching Majin Bra trash two Mystic Gohan's a Piccolo fires a Special Beam Canon at her along with manipulating the beam so it goes through her guard, when that isn't enough both Piccolo's fire an absolute barrage of Special Beam Canon's at Majin Bra as one with U16!Gohan tackling her and holding her in place so she can't dodge. On the villain side of this Majin Bra tanks the first hit without damage, smugly asks if that was supposed to hurt and then generates a skin tight energy shield to stop any of follow-up the attacks from hurting her.
    • Just as Majin Bra is laughing about how none of Piccolo's attacks are strong enough to be a threat one beam punches clean though her shield and blasts her arm off with Bra realizing what is happening just in time to flash an Oh, Crap! face. Cell using the Piccolo's attacks as cover managed to land a serious blow on Majin Bra that forces her to burn though pretty much all of her Senzu bean reserves to heal from.
    • Cell's shenanigans with his miniaturized Cell Junior's: providing U16!Gohan and the Piccolos with much needed senzu, bringing U18!Gohan back after Son Bra had left him in the deep space and allowing him to score one of the rare direct hits on her (though this is diminished by the Junior choosing the wrong target: as Gohan points out, he could have teleported him near Babidi, thus ending the battle in a single shot), and tricking Majin Buu into thinking Son Bra is an enemy.
    • The U9 Warriors returning to the fight with a vengeance, cutting through Bra's shield around Badidi (which Bra had earlier remarked only Gohan or Cell had enough power to breach) coming within a hair's breath of killing Babidi and rattling Bra yet again. Cue it being revealed Cell deliberately left them alive and gave them chance to rearm while tricking readers and Babidi alike into thinking he'd killed them. Cell's smug smirk as this comes out it is beautiful to behold.
  • Chapter 71 has plenty of moments mostly on account of it's absolutely stunning art.
    • We start off with the Z-Fighters taking on Freeza - King Cold's army while restraining their power levels to confuse the enemy. Despite the handicap they handily crush their foes with such fun scenes as Krillin bringing down one soldier with a rock hurled at incredible speeds, Piccolo using his extendable arms to tear through a group of enemies while Tien one shot's soldier after soldier, and Yamcha taking down a group before they can attack civilians.
    • Mecha-Freeza has beaten Piccolo into the ground and is about to murder Gohan only to be interrupted by what appears to be Goku who furiously shouts at the Frost Demon to attack him first if he dares. This becomes especially impressive when it's revealed that this isn't Goku arrived early but Puar who shape-shifted into Goku and called out Freeza to save Gohan's life despite having no hope of surviving the Frost Demon's response.
    • In response to Puar being killed by Freeza for the above Yamcha charges Freeza in a rage despite the massive difference in their powers and managed to actually land a blow on the tyrant making him let Gohan go. Keep in mind Yamcha can sense KI fine and so knows exactly how out of his league he is against Freeza yet he attacks anyway because the monster just killed his friend and he isn't going to let that go unanswered.
    • When Goku teleport's ahead to Earth for real he proceeds to effortlessly manhandle Freeza: first blasting him away from Gohan-Yamcha in his base form (something that shocks King Cold). Secondly when Freeza tries to blow up the Earth out of spite Goku powers up to Super Saiyan while snarling that he won't let Freeza pull that move again and teleport's right into the tyrants face where he launches a single overwhelming energy attack that graphically obliterates Freeza, stunning absolutely everyone watching.]
    • On the villain side of things King Cold reminds everyone in Universe and out why the Frost Demons are feared when enraged by death of Freeza and Goku's suggestion he leave Earth and never come back he transforms into his third form. In short order he takes everything a stronger than he was on Namek Super Goku can throw at him and beats the Super Saiyan out of Goku.
      • The above makes U9 Videl keeping up with Third Form Cold during her fight even more impressive, especially when one remembers she went up against Ginyu-Cold who was not Unskilled, but Strong like the normal King Cold and had through training become even more powerful than regular Cold.
    • How is King Cold taken down? Teamwork and smarts. Goku and Piccolo work together with Goku distracting Cold while Piccolo charges up the strongest Special Beam Canon he can create. When Cold is focusing on an attack from Tien Piccolo charges in and hits Cold point blank with epic results.
  • Chapter 73 moments
    • Bra decides to assess the situation realistically and realizes that even she can't fight off that many people at once while protecting Babidi, so she has to put Babidi far away in space to avoid him getting killed.
    • Cell adapts immediately to Bra's teleport-dodge tactics, successfully nailing a hit on Bra teleporting behind him.
    • Seeing Bra murder one the U18 Warriors angers U16 Gohan enough to power up for an immensely strong Kamehameha that he redirects, prompting Bra to teleport - strike at him... But Phipsi from U19 shields him from the blow, allowing them to trap Bra, break her hand and slam the energy wave into her while she's distracted. The Z fighters are not used to teamwork? Fine, they can adapt.
  • Chapter 75 moments
    • After watching Majin Bra murder her teammate, take out two of the most powerful fighters on their side (U16!Gohan and Cell) and being confronted with the fact her armor is running out of power what does Phipsil do? Give a What the Hell, Hero? speech to Majin Bra while advancing forward, deactivate her armor and dare the crazed Super Saiyan 2 to drop her transformations and fight her one on one. Even if it ended with her death no one can deny the girl has got guts.
    • While the above at first glance appears to not accomplish anything a perceptive viewer will notice that as Majin Bra is killing Phipsil a piece of the Ultra's deactivated but not completely out of power armor light's up and fires Carbonite at Bra's foot. Phipsil lured Majin Bra into close range at the cost of her own life and managed to tag her with one of the few things that can kill the out of control SS2. To make this even sweeter, once she realizes what has happened the normally Smug Super Majin Bra freaks out and is reduced to desperately blasting the affected area as hard as she can while screaming in pain.
    • As U18!Bra weeps over the defeated (perhaps dead) U18!Gohan and Majin Bra mocks her counterpart, Daikaioshin approaches Majin Bra and comments on the discord between the two versions of Bra... He gets an arm through the gut for his trouble but despite being mortally wounded the Grand Kai calmly keeps on talking as he wasn't dying. He picks at Majin Bra's motives, prompting a response from the Majin Saiyan and delivers a polite but cutting Take That! when he remarks that he thought Bra aspired to be more than being "a slave to her fears".
    • After caving in the Kai's skull for the above Majin Bra rants she that has control of her power, that she is complete... Only to get a furious The Reason You Suck from U18!Bra. In short order, U18!Bra screams You Have GOT to Be Kidding Me! at Majin Bra for her rant about strength, spits that Majin Bra's power and control mean nothing because she's worthless and when a now utterly enraged Majin Bra teleports into her face and tries to deride her as weak, U18!Bra keeps going firing back that she is in control of her own mind and choices, while Majin Bra is despite all her talk "literally a slave to a worm" and rather than backing down in the face of someone who could murder her with no effort, gets in Majin's Bra's face and tells her off.
      • After the above speech actually gets through to Majin Bra and pushes her into a My God, What Have I Done? breakdown, she rallies and tries to offer some defense claiming U18!Bra doesn't know what she's had to live through with a flashback to Vegito being an Abusive Parent. U18!Bra is having none of it, bluntly remarking that whatever U16!Bra went through it does not justify her actions and calling her out on trying to hide from what she's done behind the excuse of trauma. She delivers a mix of "Reason You Suck" Speech, Dare to Be Badass and You Are Better Than You Think You Are equally condemning U16!Bra on her flaws and saying that the kind of person U16!Bra wants to be passes all trials - even the unfair ones - to be worthy of the title "Number One in the Universe". U16!Bra's at first angry then stunned almost awestruck expression really sells the impact of the words.
      • This whole speech struck a deep nerve, making Bra realize that deep down she DID want to be better, but took the easy way out, and the disgust she felt at her weakness eventually proved to be enough to outright break the Majin spell. U18!Bra managed what power could not, Talking the Monster to Death.
  • Say what you will about U4's Zen Buu, he might be a self-serving Jerkass, and thus at his best behavior Creepy Good, leaving people in doubt about what the catch is (It doesn't help matters that he WILL once in a blue moon grant wishes with no gotchas), but his invoking a Reset Button on Page 1831 is nothing short of breathtakingly awesome. The Grand Kaioshin didn't say for nothing his powers exceeded that of the Dragonballs.
    • Culminating in the most awesome example of Exact Words and the most satisfying karmic comeuppance. Buu did say he had released the Majin spell on EVERYONE, and that Babidi would not die of lack of air. Cue them warped back to U11... where The Dog Bites Back, as a VERY pissed Dabra recounts just how long he was under the Majin spell, but not anymore. One universe away, Zen Buu must be very, very pleased with himself at his words come true, just as he had planned.
  • Gast Carcolh single handily stopping Super Sayian 3 Vegetto's rampage with a magic technique that drained his ki down to nothing. It even reverted Vegetto back to his base form.
  • Foregone Conclusion though it may be, but in U20, seeing Piccolo engineer a plan with Buu to absorb every remaining warrior on Earth to combine their intellects and strengths against Broly definitely looked awesome. Of note, the resulting Buu realizes he is technically stronger than Broly, but the latter is simply invulnerable.
  • Dabura turning Babidi to stone after being freed from his mind control. He proceeds to earn Buu's friendship and the two go on to reconquer Dabura's old realm, Babidi's petrified body now a centerpiece for his throne room.
  • The fight between master and disciple, Goku and Uub.
    • Uub gets props for playing a Guile Hero card and freaking Goku out.
    • He also gets major props for using the Kaioken beyond all limits, very much risking his life in the process, but pushing himself to the level of freaking SSJ3 Goku.
    • The fight technically ends on a double KO, and the winner, in a nice callback to another old school Dragonball fight, gets to be the first Determinator to stand up and claim victory. A very simple, yet awesome and fitting conclusion.
  • Vegeta displaying strong Weak, but Skilled chops, as he shows off he knows how to pull Instant Transmission. He manages to keep on trolling Cell so far, while the latter is getting annoyed his superior firepower is not getting him the upper hand.
    • To say nothing now of how Vegeta pulled a textboot Bait-and-Switch gambit on Cell : throwing him a Senzu like Goku would have done while he munches down on one for the next round after Cell has obviously expended a lot of power. Then, promising he has better than SSJ3... but going for a nasty blow to the chest, preventing Cell from eating the Senzu and thus remaining in a very weakened state, demonstrating Awesomeness by Analysis by having pinned where Cell kept his reinforced core in his body, based on his movements and what part of his body he was protecting the most. (In a bit of Fridge Brilliance it also handwaves the canon Plot Hole with Goku's Instant Transmission Kamehameha destroying Cell's head yet not killing him for good)
    • Vegeta is now free to even munch on the second Senzu Cell did not get, which would replenish all the energy the SSJ3 transformation used, thus also countering the same flaw Vegeta just lampshaded.
      • And then Vegeta goes and explains that the beans he used... were not even Senzu.
  • On Page 1983, XXI's true form is finally revealed after years of buildup. And not only does it look amazing, but its darkness starts filling up the webpage! This is the first real time DBM ever took advantage of how it's a webcomic, and all the storytelling advantages that format can bring over just being a manga.
  • Page 2061, and it seems it will stick: the Vargas have apparently managed to send back U4!Buu for good, thanks to borderline Crazy-Prepared territory countermeasures!
  • The imagined battle between Bra and Gast. They try every trick in the book, and show very high degrees of Awesomeness by Analysis, as befits fighters on that level. Bra even gets to showcase some Character Development, as she realizes:
    • Gast must be able to read her mind and anticipate anything she could throw at him.
    • She has pretty much the same power set as Vegetto, who got himself on the wrong end of a Curb-Stomp Battle at the hands of XXI. She then comes to the logical conclusion that even if she happened to win this one fight, she wouldn't win the next one against XXI, and that it's better for everyone to entrust her wish for U19 to Gast, who has a chance thanks to his magic.
  • Page 2166 reveals U18's Goku and Vegeta have achieved the apparent impossible: they trained themselves into Ultimate form.
    • Let us also stress this: when Vegitto can only look on, surprised, more than a little bit unnerved and condescendingly/begrudgingly uttering the words "The little bastards...", you know that Goku and Vegeta must have done something right. They might not be at his level of raw power, but they most likely have reached a level of enlightenment that Vegitto never thought of, or is too mentally unbalanced to reach on his own.
    • There's also the fact this was anticipated all the way in chapter 78, where U18's Vegeta complained Goku was holding back on him in a spar by not using SSJ3 and there had to be a way to surpass it without a transformation, just as Gohan had done. Apparently, they figured that out.
    • The entire scuffle happened within half a second. That's how ridiculously fast the two are, now. Only a select number of people present were able to actually keep up with it!
    • After tearing at each other so hard everyone thought the fight would be over after this half a second, they are still back at it, trading blow for blows and trying to upstage each other, not with just raw power but actual finesse and creativity.
      • Case in point, during a Beam-O-War, Goku finds a way to concentrate his Kamehameha for piercing power, and while Vegeta seems very surprised, he pulls the same maneuver as U16!Bra and Vegitto (from the Buu saga) with an energy blade to split the beam.
  • In the first Universe 9 special, we see the key point of divergence that split the Human universe from the rest, which is Cooler's men destroying Goku's space-pod, thus drawing Freeza's attention to Cooler's presence. Freeza confronts Cooler and insults him... which leads to Cooler killing Frieza himself! Cooler then covers up his murder by having Freeza's death be associated with Planet Vegeta's destruction, and gets control over Freeza's portion of his family's empire... including the Earth of Universe 9.
  • In Chapter 97, we see the past of the Bojack Gang before they were sealed by the Kaio's. They rampage across the galaxy, before coming into inevitable conflict with the Frost Demon Empire, particularly Prince Polar, King Cold's older brother!
  • U9!Yamcha gets a chance to shine and do good on Bardock's vision. He skillfully manages to handle I'K'L who is on a rampage thanks to his Time Stands Still powers... which don't work on cybernetics.
