** From a meta perspective, many of the long shots are ridiculously awesome, given the amount of things happening in them. A real kudos to the film-makers.

* Theo and Marichka beating the living daylights out of [[spoiler: Syd]] and eventually [[spoiler: killing him.]]
* The long, uninterrupted shot scene during the climax when Theo [[spoiler:runs, hides, and dodges his way through a violent warzone to rescue Kee]] is so beautifully done as to be awesome all by itself. The fact that Theo does all this for someone he just met while being completely unarmed and without any wartime experience merely adds to it.

** Even more awesome: The Uprising stops just to hear the the first cries of a baby in 18 years. All the gunfire, screaming, crying, it all goes completely silent. People reach out to touch Kee and Dylan, some refugee women softly sing to her as the trio passes, soldiers kneel and cross themselves. In the middle of an active warzone with bodies covering the street, everyone quietly clears a path for them. The complete reverence and uniting of humanity over this miracle in the midst of violence is amazing.

** Even more awesome: The Uprising stops just to hear the the first cries of a baby in 20 years. All the gunfire, screaming, crying, it all goes completely silent. People make way and reach out to touch baby Dylan, some of the women softly sing to her as the three of them pass, soldiers kneel and cross themselves. The complete reverence and uniting of humanity over this miracle in the midst of a war is amazing.

* During the battle between rebels and government forces in the end when Theo rushes in to rescue Kee. As he's leading her out to the waiting boat, her baby starts to cry; a sound that hasn't been heard by anyone for years. Both soldiers and rebels stop fighting and stand in stunned silence as Theo and Kee pass by with the baby. Some pray, some reach out to touch the baby. Then someone starts shooting and the fighting resumes.
** Also a Crowning Moment of cinematography considering how long that continuous take was.
