• Charlie Brown winning his class spelling bee and, with a little help from Snoopy, his school's competition as well. After winning the former, Charlie Brown even rubs it in the faces of Patty, Violet, and Lucy, who doubted him earlier.
  Charlie Brown: You didn't think I could do it, did ya? But I did it!
• Charlie Brown being carried around by his classmates as they sing his praises as he has rightfully won the school championships in spelling. Snoopy even salutes him as he arrives home. As anyone who has seen the special will tell you, this is pretty much the high point of Charlie Brown's childhood (aside from getting a love note from the Little Red-Haired Girl).
• Even if he didn't win the National Eliminations Spelling Bee, Charlie Brown still places second, and won the State Spelling Bee in the progress.
• Linus convincing Charlie Brown to get out of bed when he thinks he let everybody down.
  Linus: But did you notice something, Charlie Brown?
  Charlie Brown: What's that?
  Linus: The world didn't come to an end.
