Of all the movies, this one was notorious for the many instances of {{Fanservice}}, like Nami and Robin's "breast enhancement".

* {{Gainaxing}}: Another thing that made this film remarkable. In some sequences, Nami's boobs will randomly jiggle by themselves, even when she's still. Robin as well, but it's far more subtle and doesn't happen as much.

* VictoriasSecretCompartment: After revealing that she wrote down the poem on a piece of paper, Robin pulls said paper from her cleavage. [[{{Gainaxing}} Bounce included]].

* MyBelovedSmother: How Ratchet sees his mother.

* AbsoluteCleavage: Robin's evening dress, along with SideBoob.

* BareYourMidriff: Nami and Robin for most of the movie.
* BigBad: Ratchet.

* BlushSticker: Ratchet's mother has these.

* ClockPunk: The whole movie has this vibe.

* CurbStompBattle: [[spoiler: Sanji vs Honki and Zoro vs Maji]].
* TheDragon: Maji and Honki, especially the latter.

* FunnyAfro: Honki.

* FanservicePack: Ok, both Nami and Robin are fanservicey enough in the canon series, but this movie really takes this UpToEleven, what with all the loving shots of their mammaries, which seem to jiggle around like they have minds of their own.

* NervousFlopSweat: When the Straw Hats find a cave as part of the "two moons" riddle, Luffy proposes going into it. Usopp's response is to sweat generously.

** Nami gives one to Ratchett's mother in the beginning when she interrogates her about the treasure. Usopp and Zoro [[LampshadeHanging lampshade]] how scary she is when treasure is involved.

* FanservicePack: Ok, both Nami and Robin are fanservicey enough in the canon series, but this movie really takes this UpToEleven, including:
** AbsoluteCleavage: Robin's evening dress, along with SideBoob.
** ImpossiblyLowNeckline: Nami's evening dress.
** MaleGaze: The camera often makes sure that Nami and Robin's melons are always in sight. Some scenes are just for the sake of this.
** OfCorsetsSexy: Robin's outfit from the latter half of the movie.

After solving several, pun-related riddles the mystery is solved and the island is revealed to be [[spoiler: a giant living turtle, who Ratchet binds with giant wires, as he wanted to use it as a giant weapon to take over the world, and so our heroes have to put an end to his plans.]]

* StrangeBedfellows: Halfway through the movie, Ratchet allies himself with the Straw Hats to find the treasure.

* LighterAndSofter: '''Considerably''' after both the [[Anime/TheCursedHolySword fifth]] and '''ESPECIALLY''' [[Anime/BaronOmatsuriAndTheSecretIsland the sixth]] films provided very dark images to associate with OnePiece; the latter having some of the most disturbing images so in the franchise. The villain was also very harmless and not nearly as threatening as the previous ones.

''The Giant Mechanical Soldier of Karakuri Castle'' is OnePiece's seventh movie. Despite not being canon, it's probably set between the [[Recap/OnePieceDavyBackFightArc Davy Back Fight]] and the [[Recap/OnePieceWaterSevenArc Water 7]] arc.

This movie contains examples of:

* LostInTranslation: The rhymes about the treasure makes sense only in Japanese.

* CurbStompBattle: [[spoiler: Sanji vs Honki and Zoro vs Maji.]]

* DeathGlare: Nami gives one to Ratchett's mother in the beginning when she interrogates her about the treasure.

** In the beginning, Usop can be seen working on a new model of Nami's Climatact, the same that would appear later during the Enies Lobby arc.

* FunnyBackgroundEvent: Right in the beginning of the movie, while Nami and Sanji are questioning Luffy's actions to get them back on Going Merry, Zoro is seen in the background trying to put out Chopper who caught on fire.

* HurricaneOfPuns: The poem is rifled with japanese double entendres (not the sexual ones). For example, the first part mention the serpent's head ( a weird-looking rock) and the "two moons" (futatsu no tsuki). Tsuki can also mean "punch, strike", and the poem meant that.

* LighterAndSofter: '''Considerably''' after both [[Anime/TheCursedHolySword fifth]] and '''ESPECIALLY''' [[Anime/BaronOmatsuriAndTheSecretIsland the sixth]] provided very dark images to associate with OnePiece; the latter having some of the most disturbing images so in the franchise. * MeaningfulName: Meka Island. [[spoiler: Read Backwards it becomes Shimagame, "Island Turtle".]]

* NonIndicativeName: There's a Karakuri Island, but no Giant Mechanical Soldier.
* NotSoStoic: Played for laughs near the end: After escaping from a cave in, Luffy and Nami freaks out over the [[spoiler: now freed Giant Turtle.]] Suddenly Zoro, unfazed burst out from the nearby rubble, coolly berates them with a stern look on his face... [[spoiler: then freaks out over the Giant Turtle.]]

* TakeOverTheWorld: [[spoiler:Ratchet plans to enslave the turtle island with giant black cables coming out of his castle and use it to take over the known world. Hilariously (and much to his dismay), ''none'' of the Strawhats take him seriously after hearing his plans.]]

* VictoriasSecretCompartment: After revealing that she wrote down the poem on a piece of paper, Robin pulls said paper from her cleavage. [[{{Gainaxing}} Bounce included.]]

* CelebrityVoiceActor: Goro Inagaki as Ratchet. His delivery is... too understated for the role, which is a shame, because [=SMAP=] are a fantastic comedy troupe (if below-average singers).

* TheOtherDarrin: Chopper's original VA, Creator/IkueOtani, was on maternity leave at the time. So Creator/KazueIkura took over the role for a bit.

* CelebrityVoiceActor: Goro Inagaki as Ratchet. His delivery is... too understated from the role, which is a shame, because [=SMAP=] are a fantastic comedy troupe (if below-average singers).
