Go To

In which Tanaka comes over the airwaves to you!

And we're back! Sorry about that little lull, there. Found Zone of the Enders for a very low price, so I decided to try that out. But now we're back to your regularly scheduled Shadow murder!

So, you know how we fought those big old Magic Hands earlier? Yeah, the second enemy on the 11th floor I found was two tiny Magic Hands, so I think that goes to show just how wimpy those things were. Oh well, they make for nice easy targets, what with the whole fire weakness thing. We lay the smack down on them and go off on our merry way. Our fourth battle also nets us a level up, which I feel was long overdue. Seriously, these early battles give such little experience... Hopefully that will change the further in we go. With this next floor we also find a new enemy, two robed and masked people bound together via what looks like... TV antennas? And here I thought only P4 had a thing for those things... They're known as Trance Twins, apparently. Of course, Yukari murders them before I can actually figure out their weaknesses... Thanks for that. Not like I wanted to see how best to murder them or anything like that! -Sigh-

I've been coming across rather more fleeing enemies lately as well. Seems that those first enemies that ran from us told tales of our greatness and prowess in battle. Oh well, they die rather quickly all the same. By the way, I've been coming across "distressed" enemies a lot lately. Can someone let me know what's up with them? I've been murdering them too quickly to really figure it out. Alas, the beast that is Tiredness rears its ugly head, so I'm forced to head on back to the base of Tartarus and rest up. One battle as I run around the floor, completely lost, later, we find ourselves back at the main lobby. As per pdam's advice, I reluctantly head into the Velvet Room to try and fuse the first of a recurring series of Personas (and something of a mascot of the Persona series), Jack Frost. Unfortunately, it requires level 8, meaning that I am one level away from getting the Hee-Ho-ing snowman... thing. Ah well, c'est la vie. With that wasted trip into Sexual-Harassment Land, I head on back to the dorm.

As we head into school, we're told that GOLDEN WEEK begins tomorrow, and that apparently there will be a show that... Oh hey, it's Tanaka's show! Tanaka is pretty awesome, I have to say. Basically, tune in to his TV show every Sunday or so and you can be some really cool stuff that you normally can't. Sadly, you can only get a single item per week, so you need to choose carefully. I will be trying to check out his show as often as possible. Expect all of my yens to drain away from this new thing. Anyway, the show is on Sunday afternoons, so I will be very sure to go check that out. After school we see Yuko standing around with a ! over her head, so I figure I'll talk to her and see what's up. Since she's probably the sanest social link so far, we might as well spend some time with her while pretending that Kenji lies dead in a ditch somewhere. We head over to a burger place not far from the used book shop, where OH DEAR GOD GIANT DUCK! KILL IT! KILL IT!

-Ahem- Sorry about that... Anyway, Yuko isn't doing too good, claiming to be mentally exhausted, but when we ask what's up she cheers up a little. Seems her motivation has been lacking as of late. I can empathise with her somewhat, but it seems the same cannot be said for her idiot teachers. Here we come to a bit of a difficult decision. I mean, she handed in a blank test paper, but at the same time, simply saying that what she did was wrong isn't going to help in the long term. After a little while I decide to go with "I disagree" to answer her "I did nothing wrong" spiel. That answer rather impresses her, as she calls me mature for my age. Well, I have been described as mentally ten years older than my body... Still, it seems I made the right choice, as Yuko is going to try and make an effort again for the tests. We then get to embarrass her by playing her joke about being an "intellectual" dead serious. Gotta say, I'm really warming up to Yuko. She's a really cool gal, and far more sane than my other social links. This whole conversation leads to a nice rank up, so all in all I'd say it's a job well done.

Heading back to the dorm, we discover that -GASP- midterms are coming up! We'd best get that intelligence up if we're going to have a hope of defeating that terrible beast... Or just use Google for the answers. I decide to head over to the mall for a little bit to see if there are any Elizabeth quests I can get done. By handing her a "Muscle Drink" we gain three Revival Beads in return. Awesome! After that I decide to head on home and study before getting some sleep, since Minato is still tired from all that Shadow murder. Even protagonists need their sleep. Alas, we can't quite focus on the studying, so no knowledge for us. However, a little something different happens this time... Yes, that's right. Ghost Boy's back. Fuuuuuun times. Since Bill Murray hasn't been returning our calls, we're at the mercy of this creepy kid. He lets us know that the moon picture with the slowly falling number next to it counts down the days to the next full moon. Gee, thanks. I couldn't possibly have figured that out myself. The boy lets us know that we will encounter one of THEM, which I can only assume in this context is some sort of giant Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man. The boy teleports about, then disappears after warning us to be prepared. Yeah, yeah. Good riddance. With dreams of Proton Packs leading us into sleep, we catch some shut-eye until Sunday. Time for Tanaka! At least, it would be if I could find a good TV to play his show on, instead of this Phoenix Ranger stuff. Thankfully our dorm TV provides us with Tanaka goodness, complete with amazingly catchy theme song. This time he only has one thing available to buy, the Slash Ward which comes with a Sappy Jelly. Since it's only 3000 yen, I figure I'll get it. God I love Tanaka.

Anyway, I'll call it an update here. Stay tuned for mall antics with everyone's favourite sidekick to a creepy, creepy man!
