But enough about Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation. Let's talk about Jackie Chan Adventures.
Jackie Chan Adventures is a cartoon about Jackie Chan, an amateur archaeologist and martial artist. Jackie ends up getting caught up in a race to collect 12 magical talismans that a criminal organization known as the Dark Hand is gathering for an unknown purpose. Joining him in his quest is his niece, Jade, and his uncle, Uncle.
The show has memorable characters, great villains, humor, and plenty of martial arts action. Improvised weaponry is a staple of this show, and the fight scenes are nicely animated. There are also plenty of references to Chinese and Japanese mythologies. But above all else, this show is fun. It's the cartoon version of a Jackie Chan movie.
The series ran for 5 seasons with a total of 95 episodes. Each season had a different set of magical items to find and a different set of villains.
I loved Jackie Chan Adventures when it first was on TV, and I love it now. Now, this won't stop me from pointing out things I don't like — *cough* Drago *cough* — but the liveblog will be mostly positive.
And, no. The show is not anything like Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation.

Naturally, I will be spoiling the entire show; however, I'll be doing it one episode at a time. For example, if I'm on episode 4, I'm not going to spoil the ending of episode 5.

How to Follow Along
Like in Jackie Chan movies, the fight scenes are one of the most fun parts of this show. Text alone can't do the fight scenes justice, and you'll be missing half the fun if you can't follow along. Although there hasn't been a full DVD release, Jackie Chan Adventures is available in many forms. Many of them are even legal!
Here are the various methods you can use to watch the show, from free to expensive:

Subscription-based service
- Netflix Instant Streaming: All 5 Seasons (this is how I'll be viewing the series)
Buying episodes/seasons
- DVD: Season 1 is the only season that's had episode releases on DVD (and only in certain regions).
- iTunes or Amazon Instant Video: All 5 Seasons
- Both iTunes and Amazon require buying episodes individually or buying seasons with a slight discount on cost per episode. Given that the series is 95 episodes, this method isn't cheap. You also can't watch the episodes on a TV without buying additional gadgets, since these services don't allow you to burn the episodes to DVD.
