Part 7: Seeking a New Foolproof Plan

(Rika, still tied up to the chair, stirs, softly moaning)

???: ...she's awake. Tranza, tend to the girl.

(???'s lackey, Tranza, walks over to Rika, and she gasps)

Rika: Who the fuck are you guys? What do you want with me?

???: You don't know who I am? I am Radiguet, the old foe of the Jetmen!

(Rika blinks)

Rika: ...how did you even get revived? And why are you treating your lackey with respect?

Radiguet: Truth be told, I don't trust anyone. I just want to make sure you would be prepared...because as soon as you're filled with despair—

Rika: Lemme guess, something's going to make me their host, and I'll destroy the world.

Radiguet: ...

Rika: I'm not stupid. The Hate Master played the same damn trick on me. You guys honestly think you'll succeed a second time? Come on!

Radiguet: I'll give you credit for knowing what's going on. But think about it. Without anyone to oppose you, you'll become a queen. You'll become feared.

(Rika bursts out into laughter)

Rika: How many times do I have to tell you guys, I can never be broken?

Radiguet: We'll see. And to answer one of the other questions...our master, the being that wants you to become its host, unearthed a Time Crystal, right near the spot where Millennium City was rumored to be located.

Rika: ...how the shit did you know about Power Rangers stuff?

Radiguet: I studied the enemies. Their adventures...their actors' times. We live in a world where heroes and actors co-exist. How? Because of a rift...portals. It's quite...amazing.

(he turns around) I'll leave you alone. Read the story...and soon, you will rule. Whether you like it or not.

(Radiguet leaves. Tranza turns to leave, until...)

Rika: Stop.

(Tranza stops, looking at Rika)

Tranza: What do you want, girl?

Rika: First of all, I'm Rika, not "girl". Secondly, you can stay...not only to tend to me, but if I'm going down during the storytelling...(in a demonic voice) I'm taking you with me.

(Tranza is shocked, but he listens to Rika)

(In Rika's room...)

Mako: Are they there yet?

Matoi: I hope so.

(Then, Sean, Jason, Alex, and Ryota appear, with other people! Rin and Mao are next to Jason, and Brittany is next to Alex. Ryota nods to the shocked Mako and Matoi, and the former looks at Rin)

Mako: You look just like me!

Rin: You're real?!

Ryota: Yes, Rin, this is Mako, your character. (to Mako) Mako, Rin.

Jason: So who activated the insignia?

Matoi: That would be me. (nods)

Sean: ...so where's Rika?

Matoi: Sir...Rika's been kidnapped.

(Jason, Alex, and Ryota become shocked. Rin, Brittany, and Mao are a bit confused. As for Sean, he's just trying to hold in any swear words he's just tempted to use right about now)

Alex: Do you know what took her?

Mako: We don't know! We only saw some flashes...and the voice of a man.

Sean: Do you know what she was liveblogging?

(Mako leans to Sean's ear and whispers the title in his ear. He blinks)

...what's up with her and liveblogging horrible stuff, anyway?

Brittany: Who's Rika, anyway?

Sean: She's a liveblogger who either liveblogs bad stories or something obscure. More often than not, weird stuff happens to either her or other people.

...we have to save her. We have to figure out where she is, and who took her.

Mao: But why would they want her?

Sean: I know why. And trust me, it's so freaking stupid, it's not funny.

(Jason then hops onto the laptop)

Jason, search "Super Sentai vs. Power Rangers".

(Jason nods, and the research begins...)

(in the base...)

Rika: So! Let's get this party started!

(Tranza enters the next chapter onto the screen)

Previously, the heroes face off against one of RINO's many, many foes in order to defend the world of Gorenger. Guess how that fucking worked out.

So let's move on with...

Chapter 7: Wild Card vs. Wild Card

We begin, as always, with the Author's Note. This one focuses on how Banba Soukichi, aka BIG OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONE!!!1, is considered to be the mascot for Super Sentai, whereas Tommy's the mascot for Power Rangers. Granted, the aforementioned Tsuyoshi can be a mascot of sorts since he's the first Red Ranger, but...eh. And as we all know, both of them replaced their respective Red Rangers for their series.

...also, as if things can't get any lazier, the chapter's inspired by J.A.K.Q. vs. Gorenger. And we get a note that states what I already said in the last chapter.

Tranza: Why are you so calm towards it?

Rika: It isn't despairing, but just rage-inducing and stupid.

Anyway! It's time for the J.A.K.Q "tribute" episode, y'all! A vision occurs, and Tommy meets up with Banba. And what does he say? Just what we already know, that the universes will collide soon. After saying his goodbye, he vanishes.

Tommy thinks that the visions...well, look.

I don't think my dreams are just dreams. I could be wrong then. said Tommy Oliver pondering on the visions becoming a reality.

...

Tranza, you have some alcohol? Like sake or some shit?

Tranza: Why do you ask?

Rika: Because I need a fucking drink.

(Tranza leaves)

So...Bulk and Skull show up with breakfast, showing not to be as clumsy. Tommy wonders what's going on.

The answer: weird dimensional shit. That takes care of everything!

(Tranza arrives with some sake, and he has Rika take a sip)

Thanks, man.

Kimberly then meets up with him. The only important thing to take out of this is Kimberly thinking that the visions are just messages, since she sees a woman with a bow and arrow, a musician who plays the flute, and herself fighting robots.

...is it me, or is Akizuki ripping off Final Destination? Only without the deaths that go along with both the visions and reality?

Tranza: I don't know...

Rika: Tommy doesn't know why they're chosen, and Kimberly thinks that they're there to fight the U.A.O.E. Also, is it me, or are we back to the same shit of other characters known by their full names? I guess Akizuki didn't do that good of a job cleaning up.

Next, Ryu tells Tommy that he's chosen for the next mission, which is, as we know, defending the J.A.K.Q world. And why? Well, he's the Banba for the mission. Obviously.

...you know, I'm getting really tired of saying "Akizuki, stop telling us what we already know". So I'm going to amend my Drinking Game rules. In addition to what's already listed, take a shot when...

  • Anytime anyone, be they characters or the narrator, say shit we already know.

Tommy meets up with Sakura, Satoru, Sen, and Hoji. Hoji talks about his past, and...Satoru mentions something about a Red Ranger getting replaced.

(Rika nods to Tranza, and she takes a sip from her sake)

By the way, you think you can untie my hands?

(Tranza does so)

Thanks.

Oh, and Tranza...please pay close attention to your scene. Or your fanfic self.

Tranza: Hm?

Rika: Just sayin'.

At the U.A.O.E, RINO hires Abrella to meet up with Iron Claw and Crime. Also, another mention of going back to the world of J.A.K.Q. (sips) Abrella departs with his mooks, and Long thinks that Iron Claw's a joke...but of course not more of a joke than Flurious. Oy.

After RINO makes...a pun, I guess, and blasts a target board representation of the J.A.K.Q team, story!Tranza decides, again, to overthrow RINO one day.

I swear to God...say what you will about the demons from Lightspeed Rescue. At least they were slightly more interesting than these clowns!

Tranza: ...that's me?

Rika: Eeyup. "I'm going to overthrow RINO one day LOLZ!". Seriously, I don't know of your adventures, or misadventures, whatever, but...surely you're not really that one-note.

Tranza: While it was true that I overthrew Radiguet, when he was revived...even though he was still his old self, he knew that there was a reason why he was brought back. We are all the master's servants.

Rika: Riiiiiight.

So we see the beginning of the mission, with Tommy and his team searching. NEXT!

Back at the portal from the Power Rangers world...in 2005 (fucking seriously?), we see Adam Park. And we're told he's from South Korea.

(Rika nods to Tranza, he brings a keyboard, and she types in "Adam Park"...and "Johnny Yong Bosch")

Yyyyyeah. Adam may be of Korean descent, as is his actor, but saying that he's just from South Korea? What? I'm sorry, but fucking what?

And we have some information of how he even got there. He was watching the Korean dub of Boukenger, called Power Rangers Treasure Force. And we get the date of the world several times. (sips) Naturally, he enjoys it...aaaaand says he had a similar time-travelling experience in "Once a Ranger". My memory's rather rusty, and I haven't seen "Once a Ranger", but a time-travelling experience? No, just...no. That did not happen.

So of course the DVD becomes a portal...and this shit happens.

Adam: "Crud… I don't have any contacts here. What's funny is that I'm speaking Japanese now."

(Rika pauses, then sighs. Then she takes a long drink from her sake)

Oh, alcohol, I still drink to your health.

Later, Tommy tells Satoru to be the leader, where he finds Banba. (sips, and she's starting to slur her words) And he says Banba's a key to a much greater power. And he's dressed in white now. Somehow. Holy shit...(hic!) It's the fuckin' weird dimensional shit again.

Seriously, I'mma put this as a reasonable explanation to virtually everything. Weird dimensional shit.

As Satoru and his team search, they find Adam, facing off against the Crimers. Naturally, they beat the foes, and they talk a bit. And how does Adam know who the Sentai Warriors are? Introduction to Super Sentai, or AkaRed's manual. Seriously.

(Rika facepalms)

As to why he would leave it around for Adam to find, I have no fucking clue, either. Yes, Sakura speculates that AkaRed would find other people to help him, but...oy.

Meanwhile, at Crime, Abrella meets up with Iron Claw, after the latter pitches a fit over the fact that, yes, there are more spandex fighters. He introduces the leader to four of the villains, the Crime Big Four—Captain UFO, Baron Iron Mask, General Sahara, and Hell Boxer. Iron Claw likes the group, and he pays Abrella, who leaves.

At the Gorengers' snack place, we meet the civilian forms of J.A.K.Q—Goro Sakurai (Spade Ace), Karen Mizuki (Heart Queen), Ryu Higashi (Dia Jack, henceforth known as Dia!Ryu to separate him from Jetman!Ryu), and Bunta Daichi (Clover King). Just as Goro tempts fate by wondering where Iron Claw could be, guess who shows up? You guessed it, the Crime Big Four!

While the quirky miniboss squad tries to beat our heroes, Banba and Tommy show up and morph into their respective forms. As they try to defeat the squad, the transformed J.A.K.Q arrive. And yes, before anyone asks, it's true they use "strengthening capsule" booths to transform, and not any sort of transformation trinket.

Interesting what you know.

Tommy is stunned to see the heroes, and J.A.K.Q tries to form the Big Bomber to defeat the Crime Big Four. But it doesn't work, and they all disappear in a smokescreen.

Later, they meet up with Satoru's group, and they talk a bit. By the way, I can't help but notice a bit of a trend...meh, it's just me. The only thing to take out of this is that they decide they need the help of another Sentai group. Guess who they are.

After a scene with Iron Claw getting pissed off about the heroes escaping and thinking of a plan to bait the heroes, we cut to the Sentai group who'll help—the morphed Gorengers! Naturally, the Crime Big Four have no issues with them. Yawn.

And we get bits in between with Adam and Tommy speculating as to what the DVD is, how it's a catalyst, how AkaRed has something to do with it...yeah, see why I decided to skip shit no one cares about?

As Adam stays and keeps watch since he doesn't have his powers, J.A.K.Q arrives to help the Gorengers, and after a role call, they fight against Crime Big Four's forces, as do Sakura, Satoru, Sen, and Hoji. They become so close to beat the foes...until Abrella reveals that he's just a friggin' cheater. How? He tells the quirky miniboss squad that it's time to combine.

Naturally, the squad has a collective "oh, crap!" moment, and after Abrella reveals that he planted a "bio-dimensional bug" into their bodies, they combine to form the Big Four Robo. Which means they likely couldn't do a damn thing, just...controlled like that.

What an asshole!

And just when things look their bleakest, with the attacks not scratching the robot, Tommy and Banba arrive. Their plan now? The Gorengers, J.A.K.Q, and Tommy must fill the Hurricane Storm Ball with energy as the others distract the robot, therefore doing a combo attack. And as you can imagine, the plan works, with the ball having enough energy, getting placed into the Big Bomber, and—with Tommy using the Drill Crusher after Satoru gives the okay—the combo attacks strike at the robot, sending the Crime Big Four into Hell.

Yes, really.

After Abrella teleports away, we finally finish the story. I'll just summarize the final parts.

  • As the group prepares to leave, Tommy's told that it's just the beginning of a long-ass battle against the U.A.O.E. And, as usual, he'll play a supporting part, and someone will help him. Also, there's a lion roaring in the distance. Yep, the AkaRed fusee thing is seriously going to hurt. A lot.
  • Iron Claw flips his shit, and so does RINO. As usual, he tortures Abrella for his failures...and we see that, in the wine glass, there's the image of Raguem, created out of anger. On one hand, I will give Akizuki that, but on the other hand...
  • After talking about how awesome the crossover was between the sent heroes, Jason and Tommy talk about the U.A.O.E and the mysterious hero. And we end with Sakura, Satoru, Sen, and Hoji playing poker in honor of J.A.K.Q, with Chief himself not sure what to say about Sakura...aaaaand we're hinted that someone will also have feelings for her. Oh, dear God.

(Rika exhales)

Tranza...get me more booze.

Tranza: You're already drunk, Rika...why won't you rest?

Rika: I need to stock up for the next chapters. Because I have a feeling that I'll need a lot of it to get me past through them. A lot.

(Rika hiccups, and Tranza leaves)

Will Rika be able to get through the story without consuming more alcohol? What will the All-Stars find out about the mysterious foe? And will the story get any worse?

Emergency Signal; Now, Forward! To the next liveblogging of Super Sentai vs. Power Rangers!!

I just wonder how long until Tranza breaks down... Heh, should be soon... I hope you continue. I think the next chapter will be a big one... Big in mindfuckery and you probably are going to need to dye your wall in a deeper crimson. Good luck.

I’ll add on that this chapter’s story is a ripoff of JAKQ vs Gorenger, with the USSPRA and Abrella shoehorned in. The original story had the Big Four being regular villains who simply had fusion powers. And he also omitted Big One disposing of Iron Claw by placing his own bombs in his ship.
