Epilogue - Reign of the Hero King

And so, after Medeus fell, everyone gathered in the altar celebrated their victory. Gotoh congratulates Marth on the complete slaying of Medeus, ridding the world of one of it's greatest threats, and saving humanity as well as the dragonkin. Tiki is overjoyed at being able to stay with everyone, now that the threat is gone. Malicia and Caeda then have a short chat about Marth, where Caeda's devotion to Marth shines through, and Malicia concedes her infatuation with him to Caeda's love for him. Marth then proposes to Caeda, asking for her assistance in the construction of the new kingdom.

Again, everyone sounds off, now by group, as they decide what they plan to do with everything having come to an end. Marth then personally thanks Lyra for all she did to help him. Marth wishes to share some of the glory of this victory with Lyra, because many of the deeds granted to him were her doing, but Lyra refuses the attention. She believes that, with the chaos over, the continent will need a noble hero, who can unite everyone under a banner of peace. She believes Marth best fits that role, and he alone should take the credit, even if it means she will be forgotten by history. Knowing that Marth remembers her is enough, and she wishes to remain only as his shadow in the eyes of history. Marth feels that it was a strange turn of fate that brought her to his side, and thanks her again for everything she has done for him, and for being a true friend to him throughout this ordeal.

Thus, the long, tragic battle that
would later be called the 'War of Heroes'
finally came to an end.

The seven kingdoms were unified
under Prince Marth of Altea,
and as the United Kingdom
of Archanea was established,
an era of peace began.

The tales of the heroes who took part
in this war brought excitement and tears
to the later generations.

Chronicles of the Archanea War of Heroes...

This is a story about love and courage, about
the young warriors who fought with the
continent's fate at stake

  • Gifted Archer, Gordin, 196 battles, 120 wins: Gordin retired from knighthood for personal reasons, and then moved to Archanea's palace. Aftewards, he became member of the Archanean Rangers.

  • Aspiring Archer, Ryan, 266 battles, 119 wins: Ryan stayed in Altea and joined the Temple Knights. Though young, he did his absolute best as a knight.

  • Macedonian Hunter, Warren, 217 battles, 119 wins: Warren returned to Macedon and became a hunter once more, living peacefully in the forest.

  • The Volunteer, Norne, 139 battles, 96 wins: Norne returned to her village, to live a peaceful, ordinary life undisturbed by war.

  • Perfect Shot, Jeorge, 105 battles, 58 wins: Jeorge founded the Archanean Rangers after the war, his mission to protect the people from bandits.

  • Worthy General, Horace, 113 battles, 54 wins: Horace returned to his lands in Archanea, dedicating himself to their restoration.

  • Anna's Love, Jake, 88 battles, 57 wins: Jake spent his days helping his girlfriend, Anna, manage her shop. The two dream of leaving for a faraway continent someday.

  • Grustian Peace, Robert, 84 battles, 51 wins: Robert wandered the land, helping the weak. One time, he passed through Grust, aiding the reconstruction effort.

  • Gra's Princess, Sheema, 61 battles, 41 wins: Declining Marth's request, Sheema renounced her claim to Gra's throne and settled in the palace town. There, she lived as an ordinary, but happy girl.

  • Aurelian Hero, Wolf, 36 battles, 17 wins: After the war, Wolf set his sights for Aurelis. As if searching for death, he threw himself recklessly into battle, one after the next...

  • The Hero's Guard, Lyra, 197 battles, 116 wins: Not much is written about Chris in the pages of history. However, many speak highly of the time they spent alongside whom they called Altea's finest knight.

Speed Rank: C (surprised I got this good of a rank. I took on average over 10 turns on just about every chapter, give or take a few, and my longest was a whopping 41 turns on chapter 3!).

Survival Rank: A (Suck it, Shadow Dragon! Er, the game, that is).

Tactics Rank: B (not sure what this means. I supposed it could refer to experience or something, which I got a decent amount of. I doubt I'd have gotten a B if the game could tell I was focusing solely on archers, so I doubt it's actually my strategy rating, heh).

And so that ends this runthrough! I know a lot of it was kinda bland, since there wasn't anything really to spice it up, but I hope you all were able to enjoy it. Now, to begin voting for the next game I will liveblog. Only two choices this time, to round up this "season", I suppose one could say. Basically, it's a choice of which game you'd want first, since there are only two choices and all, and they'd need to get picked eventually.

  • Ordinary run of Sacred Stones.

  • Ordinary run of Blazing Sword.

Voting will continue until the end of Wednesday, the 27th, so cast your votes. Until next time, all!

I would like for you to do a run of Sacred Stones. I would prefer you go with Eirika. Partly because everyone says she has the better story, partly because I always go with her when I play it. Also, I hate Ephraim in general.

I second The Sacred Stones and Eirika. I like her path better in terms of plot, and she doesn't get ghost ship.

I would like you to do a run of Sacred Stones and Eirika. Her story is a lot easier, mostly because she doesn't have three That One Levels in a row.

Terribly sorry that I haven't commented for quite some time. I'm truly impressed at how much time and effort has gone into this project, and I do hope that it continues for quite some time. As far as voting goes, I think I'd like to see Sacred Stones. It's a unanimous vote so far, it seems, but I think that Stones is an interesting title that introduces some cool ideas, but is underrated when compared to the rest of the series. As for the lord, I'd suggest Eirika, so that Innis and Saleh get proper introductions (and perhaps to see what happens if you don't recruit Amelia the first chance you get).

Alright then, with four votes, it seems like Sacred Stones (as well as Eirika route) have been chosen rather unanimously. I note that ordinary runs work like the Tellius game runthrough, where I pick a party after the game is chosen, but before starting the run.

@Endark: No issue with regards to commenting. I'll admit I need to catch up on your liveblog as well. And I agree about Sacred Stones; it's sort of the oddball of the series (although Awakening has given it some vindication, given how much it draws from it in some regards).
