Thieves and Dragons? In one map?

So much experience to be had!

Chapter 14 - A Mystery Revealed: Finished.

Base: The only new conversation is Horace and Lyra (2), wherein Horace explains how he originally met Marth (funny that he was the one unit we didn't meet in this run of SD), and Lyra admires his honest conviction in protecting the villagers whom he swore to protect. How's Everyone yields 12 experience for Jeorge, a Hit Axe courtesy of Beck, and a strength and magic boost for Jake. No inventory clearing needs to happen as of yet, and so we begin!

Marth: Waited near the entrance, waiting for all the enemies to be dealt with before he went to see Gotoh, who reforged the starsphere (sadly lacking its "permanent weapons" effect, although +2 to all stats is pretty sweet regardless), and granted both the Star and Lightspheres to Marth, entrusting him with restoring the Binding Shield to its full power. He then helped himself to the Swordslayer, Again staff, and Talisman that lay in the treasure chests, before seizing.

Party: Pushed through the central hall without too much issue, Horace, Ryan, and Lyra leading the charge due to their higher defense protecting them against the dragons breath and the thieves blades. Once the initial group of dragons fell, and the mages behind the walls were dealt with, the party easily slew all of the thieves. They then separated, Lyra, Ryan, Gordin, and Horace taking care of the western side, while Warren, Norne, Robert, Jeorge, and Jake took care of the eastern side. All foes fell without much issue. After Marth spoke to Gotoh, some ice dragons came in from behind, and the party took care of them without much trouble.

Afterward: Gotoh reveals Gharnef is alive, his soul and hatred kept within the Darksphere. The heretic bishops revived him, and now they plan something new. Gotoh then sends us to Altea, where Lyra politely declines Xane's offer of a headpiece similar to Tiki's.

Up Next: Return of the Prince, where we rescue Abel and Est from a tricky situation, and begin the retaking of Altea!

I know what you mean about thieves, but I wouldn't really call dragons easy experience.

Seremesforest says that the Binding Shield (or Shield of Seals, as they calls it) "banishes Earth Dragons", but i have no idea what that means. Also, I'm disappointed that the Again Staff has 3 uses, as that makes it severely less useful than Feena.

The "banishes Earth Dragons" refers to the final chapter (and I think Chapter 20?) where Earth Dragons spawn on the enemy turn, but the Shield of Seals causes them to despawn on the player phase.

I think it is "Binding Shield" both for space reasons and as a shout out to the Brawl name for FE6.

@Doctrain: That's the fun thing about archers; Dragons can't do anything to you when you fight them. Well, except Earth Dragons. Yeah, the Again staff is basically useless unless you need to clutch something with a mage available, or you aren't using Feena.

@Otherarrow: I could see that being the case, since Shield of Seals wouldn't fit into the character limit, if I recall how many there are. Not sure about the reference part, but if it is, that's pretty cool.
