There won't be a Fizzart Family Reunion here.
I didn't bring Jill to this chapter, since it would have seemed really cruel to force her to fight her father and her old companions.
Chapter 20 - Defending Talrega
Ike, Soren, & Mist
: Took the bottom path and headed for Shiharam. Ike and Mist took the lead, with Soren bringing up the rear and giving them support fire with his spells. Mist visited the home on the way, getting the Rescue staff (which may or not be useful in a strategy later), and they held their ground against the real threats; Shiharams Wyvern Knights. They provided a fair amount of trouble, and Soren was the only one who could take them out without much trouble. After the wyverns were done with, they broke through the enemy ranks one after the other, until they had reached Shiharam and Mist took him down, allowing Ike to arrive on the next turn.
Stefan & Mordecai
: Took the other path to visit the northern house and cover the main group from the various enemies coming in from there. Stefan's bad Luck really showed itself, because while the normal foes weren't too much trouble, once the wyverns started flying in, Stefan took a lot of damage, and while he could take them down, they slowly whittled down his health. He survived, and Mist Physic'd him, but he still came far too close for comfort. Mordecai meanwhile got hit a few times as well, but mostly shrugged off the attacks and took down many foes.
: Fought with Mist, who used the Sonic Sword to defeat him. They simply traded blows, Mist's Sonic Sword dealing heavy damage before he sliced her with his Tomahawk, and then fell to a second blast of wind.
VS General Shiharam Fizzart
: After Ike and Soren had created a path forward, Mist ran towards the floodgates, and ran into the enemy general, a man on an enormous wyvern. Mist readied the Sonic Sword, for she knew she would need to end this quickly. The man readied his Tomahawk as both he and his mount stared Mist down with a determination born from the desperate need to finish this battle as swiftly as he could.
Jill hadn't joined them on the battlefield today because Ike knew she couldn't face this man and his soldiers without regret. Her father stood before Mist, and even despite the determination in his eyes, he looked very solemn. He knew the effects of his tactics and who he would be hurting because of it, and yet was unable to avoid it, for he still wanted there to be a home for his men.
"Neither of us desires a drawn-out battle. Come! Hold nothing back!"
Mist ran forward, slicing her blade through the air and creating a gale of razor edged wind, which struck the dragon-rider hard, slicing his armor and mount. He gave a curt flick of the reins, which cause his dragon to leap forward, directly in front of Mist. Before she could back away, a flick of the wyvern's large, scaly tail struck her horses forelegs at the joints, forcing her horse down to the ground. His axe came down, slicing a deep cut into Mists shoulder. As Mists horse got up, he attempted another axe swing, but Mist was able to barely stop the strike with a quick gust of wind from her sword, and then with a final swing at the man who had revealed himself to make the strike, she ended the battle and rested as Ike went to stop the floodgates.
Shiharam Fizzart sounds really odd to say.
: The party invades the Daein capital of Nevassa, where they will face down a formidable foe unlike any they have fought so far...
: As was said a few times, I didn't bring Jill to this chapter, because it seemed really cruel to force her to fight her own father and old companions. When this chapter comes along, for those who've used Jill, do you bring her or leave her at the base for it?
