Well, let's head for Mount Hobs. Yang alone makes the walk trivial, but the two generics help a bit, I guess.

Music: Mount Ordeals

The first part is easy enough, all the enemies die in one hit. We continue on to the East Trail.

Yang: (I don't see a sign of Ursula anywhere. Has she grown strong enough to make it this far on her own? Or has something worse happened instead?)

The enemies are still completely trivial. From the East Trail to the East Vista, then. There's a Save Point here and more weak enemies. Seriously, Yang is just completely carving his way through this mountain.

Then we move onto the Summit. Well, this is where we first saw Yang absolutely destroying things in FFIV, maybe we'll see something here.

...Like maybe a complete copy of the scene in FFIV. We see Ursula surrounded by enemies.

Yang: Ursula!

Ursula: Yah!

She instantly dispatches two of the enemies.

Yang: Ursula...!

Monk: Princess!

Then she attacks three Domovois, the exact same formation Yang had to get through in FFIV. Although we can actually control Ursula. Well, I guess I should describe our new party member.

Ursula Fang Leiden

I'm honestly not sure if her last name is "Fang Leiden" or just "Leiden", but most of what I've seen seem to have it as "Fang Leiden", so let's just go with that. Anyway...

Class: Princess

Just a monk with a slightly different skill set. Attack, Kick and Chakra, which is a healing move that also clears a few status ailment. She's not as strong as Yang, but she's still a very solid fighter.

Anyway, Ursula slaughters all the enemies. Now all that's left is the bomb.

Yang: Ursula!

Ursula: Stay out of this, Father!

Yang: This won't be as easy as before, Ursula!

And so we fight Mom Bomb, just to top off this mess of unoriginality. It's exactly the same as in FFIV, right up to the explosion. And, like in FFIV, it splits into three Bombs and three Gray Bombs.

You know, this fight may be a bit tricky in FFIV, but there's the fact that most of the characters in this encounter are built like Yang, who was the one guy guaranteed to survive the fight in FFIV. That just makes this fight pathetic. You don't even need a strategy for this. Anyway, we win. Easily.

Ursula: Father!

Yang: You foolish girl!

Ursula: Father!?

Well, this is already looking like it will be a brilliant conversation.

Yang: Not only did you disobey my express instructions... ...you blundered deep into the wilderness by yourself! What were you thinking?

Ursula: ...

Yang: You had to have some reason.

Ursula: The shooting star.

Yang: The what?

Ursula: I saw a shooting star fall near Mount Hobs several days ago.

Yang: And you kept this from me? Why?

Ursula: If I told you, would you have taken me with you to investigate?

Yang: ... You are right. Now, back to the castle. Go on.

Ursula: Please let me go along! I promise I won't do anything rash.

Yang: No.

Ursula: So are you asking your daughter to venture back through the wilderness all by herself?

Yang: *sigh*

Monk: We will gladly protect the princess for you, Master Yang.

Well, I believe everyone knows who won this argument.

Yang: All right, you win. Whatever you do, just keep yourself out of danger.

Ursula: Absolutely.

We then immediately shove Ursula in the front row, because one of our two generics has atrocious Defence.

Well then, let's progress to the West Crossing. A very long spiral path here leads us to a Kenpo Gi, which is going right on Ursula. The other part of the very long spiral path leads us to the next area.

Ah, the West Slope, back into familiar territory for FFIV players. We head straight to the West Vista, grab all the chests and use the Save Point.

Down near the exit, Challengingway is selling some stuff. We may as well grab a few Tents. We also find a Power Armlet just before we leave. More stuff for Ursula.

Well, that's all for now, next time I guess we'll check out that shooting star.
