THIS GAME IS ABSURD!
It expected me to memorize and perfectly interpret the layout of the island!? I can barley navigate the place in this night setting! No lightning bolt to temporarily illuminate things? No torch? Not even moonlight? BULLSPIT!

So yeah, turns out you can't hurt the heartless in the dark. Since they're shadow creatures that makes sense but I was hoping to rack up an EXP point or two.
So it turns out Riku is in some part behind the fact doors are opening so that he can see the world and have more, More, MORE. hold up...

THEY'RE NOT EVEN TRYING TO HIDE IT! I mean at least with Sasuke we had to wait until the after like the first like 3 or 4 very long story arcs to see he was going downhill, Riku doesn't even give you the beginning of the game.
So this is the end, Riku is trying to draw Sora into the darkness with him so they can have hatesex as they travel across the universe in their pit of frightful darkness for all eternity.
You know, I don't expect much from my JRPG like player choice or player influence in the progress of the game, but I least expect a good story, usually well detailed or at least well told. I expect a little subtlety, perhaps some finesse, perhaps something that wasn't so obvious that they were beating you over the head with it. I mean Riku doing something like this was like being told you were going to have a surprise party, and then eveyrone is wondering why you're not surprised when they jump out and shout "Surprise".
And so early too...
Wait, what? What? What? Keyblade what? I thought we were being consumed for all eternity and instead Keyblade?
well I can fight heartless with it now so it must be some "Light that shines on the darkness" or some cliche bullspit like that.
Because it's a giant key I can open mystery doors and inside the secret cove I see Kairi all meek, mysterious, heartless, and plot device-y. The mystery door opens, and wind pushes her so hard she literally dissolved into dust the moment she touches me. I am not so lucky. Instead I'm thrust into the destroyed remains of Destiny Island being sucked in to a vortex while I fight... Giant evil shadow me again? Seriously big guy, what is it you want from me? What did I do to you?
Was it because you were always in my shadow? Was it becuase I kept you in the dark? Is it becuase I always used black humor on you?
