Nobue is booored. (She's wearing a Hard Normal Daddy
tanktop.) Chika asks if she didn't have a ton of homework. She does, so Chika asks if maybe she should do that. Nobue complains of being bored again... just as Miu opens the window. She's in some kind of ninjaesque outfit. They all look at her.
Miu: Join me, fellow ninjas!Nobue is skeptical, and tells her to show her one ninja move. Miu punches her.
(The episode page features the girls in different outfits than they appear in in this episode. Well, Miu might be in the same outfit, but... Okay, Ana is in the right foreground of the panel. Matsuri is standing by Nobue, holding her arm, the hand of which is in Nobue's pocket. Nobue's other hand is helping Nobue munch Pocky.
Both are farther away, at center and left. Farther back is Chika, sitting on the floor. Miu is "hidden" behind a sheet, though you can see her hands and the shadow of a pigtail.)
Miu doesn't know ninjitsu, but claims to have her own unstoppable style. In the next panel, she has a lump on the top front of her head. Chika asks why she decided to be one. Miu takes a scroll out of her bag, saying she found it when cleaning out her closet. (Now it's easy to see that Chika has a Rephlex shirt on, though the style of the lettering is normal rather than that of the logo seen in that article.) Miu unrolls the scroll, revealing ancient Japanese. She starts to say "According to this scroll..." but Chika points out that she doesn't know how to read it. Miu says it's true, but tells her she doesn't have to be mean about it.
Chika asks why she has an outfit like that. Apparently, Miu found it with her reindeer costumes. There weren't any extras, but she found a komuso hat, prompting Chika to question her possession of them again. She has Matsuri wear it and make zen noises like the famous "Om", as a ninja disguised as a monk. (As of this writing, the concept of ninja having disguised themselves as suck monks was listed as a possibility on Wikipedia, in contrast with samurai and ronin, which it says did employ such disguises.) Matsuri makes the "Om" sound, but...
Something is not quite right.Well, yeah, she's still wearing a dress which looks very little like the outfit of a komuso. Nobue says it's strange, because obscure basket hats usually make little girls look like ninjas.
Technique #1
Miu is flinging discs at a teddy bear. Chika comes bearing cookies for everyone. Seeing what's going on, she yells at Miu and kicks her in the side, making her drop the remaining discs. She apparently sets the cookies down to reveal that the discs are her entire CD collection. Nobue thanks her for the cookies. Chika wants to put the kibosh on the "ninja" thing, but is hit with cookies.
Technique #2
Miu, despite having earned a return of the head lump, holds a... is that a bokken? She speaks of the alertness of a ninja, which never allows an opening for attack. She gets Matsuri's attention and distracts her by saying there's a UFO. Matsuri instantly looks, and Miu hits her in the head with the weapon! Good thing it's not intended to cut... Miu points out to Matsuri that she'd be dead if she were born in samurai days. Nobue tells Matsuri she should know better than to fall for Miu's tricks. Miu asks Nobue if she thinks she can't trick her. Nobue is certain. Miu claims to know her secret weakness, and claims Ana is changing into her pajamas. This fails, as Ana is sitting next to Nobue. Nobue does say it's a nice try. Miu asks her how she's supposed to get her to give her an opening. Nobue doesn't know, and asks why she's asking her.
Miu tries her ninja seduction technique. This involves dropping her bokken, and getting on all fours to reach under the table to get it. The purpose of this exercise appears to be to give Nobue a Panty Shot. Oh, and the reader gets one, too. Nobue points out to Miu that she's the one showing an opening. Miu asks how she's supposed to seduce and attack her at the same time. Nobue only says that that wasn't it.
Miu's next plan is to get Ana to sit and try to look sexy, thus holding Nobue's focus. I don't know about sexy, but she does look adorable. She's leaning slightly left, held up by her left hand. Her right thumb is at her mouth, with curled fingers. Her knees point left, and her feet point right. Nobue's focus held, Miu announces an opening, and hits her on the head with the bokken. Nobue's reaction?
Slide your leg over just a scotch.I think that's "skosh". ...! It comes from Japanese! How about that. Anyway, Miu says Nobue is indestructible.
Nobue notices Matsuri looking uncomfortable, and asks what's wrong. Matsuri says she needs to go to the "girls' room". Odd phrasing, for a toilet within a residence. Nobue tells her to go ahead. Matsuri warns Miu not to attack her. Miu just says she can't do so if she doesn't leave an opening. While Matsuri is focused on defending from Miu, Nobue "spots an opening" by lifting Matsuri's skirt. Matsuri squeals, turns around, and calls Nobue a pervert. Nobue apologizes, and points out that she leaves a lot of openings. proving her point, Miu lifts her skirt. Matsuri squeals again.
Technique #3
Miu asks Chika if she wants to show her techniques. Chika doesn't know if she has any, but spots the TV remote on the floor, and gets an idea. She tells the others to look at the TV. She strains, and yells! Then she inconspicuously turns on the TV with her toe. Matsuri is surprised, but Miu and Nobue come to the correct conclusion. They look at each other. Matsuri asks how she knows. Nobue has no idea. Miu swiftly places the remote on the table while they're distracted. Matsuri comes to the conclusion that she must have used the remote, but Nobue points out that it's in front of her! Matsuri looks at the remote in disbelief. Miu calls it astonishing. Matsuri looks at Chika. Chika( ?) says her ninja skill is amazing. Matsuri thinks that there's a trick to it, as there's no way to do it without the remote. Nobue asks her how much she knows about psychic powers like ESP, and says you never know when you'll find out that someone like Chika has them. She also suggests that Matsuri herself might have them. This influences Matsuri into concentrating at the TV.
Technique #4
Miu announces that she'll move too quickly for the naked eye to see. She starts. It looks like walking. She makes sound effects: "Shoo-shoo-shoo-shoo-shoo!" Nobue offers Ana some of the cookies Chika made (and Miu thankfully spared from flinging) earlier. Miu also stops to try one. They are good. She goes back to moving and making sound effects: "Shooo-babbabbabbabba!" This prompts a "More of this?" reaction.
Technique #5
Nobue asks Ana how much she knows about ninjas. Ana has a vague idea, but doesn't know exactly what they did historically. Miu explains that they did what she's been showing her. Ana thinks of Miu flinging cookies, lifting a skirt, and walking around while pretending to be unseen. She asks why she didn't say that's what she was demonstrating, and if those were authentic ninja techniques from their heritage. Miu just laughs, which Ana questions, and why she's not being answered.
Technique #6
Nobue asks Ana if she can show them techniques like making ghost clones and running on water. Miu says that's only in the comics. She looks at her bag of snacks, though, and dumps them on the floor, announcing that they're caltrops. Nobue tells her to clean them up.
The clock says 6:03, which Miu says is time to go home. As she's having sushi rolls, she'll be using her super lightning sushi roll eating technique. In saying so, she calls Nobue "master", and as such, Nobue orders her to get out of there. Once she's gone, Nobue remarks on the lack of ninjaosity in her moves. Miu leaps the gap between their roofs, and calls it her best move all day.
