36: Look at the Elephant!

Another quiet morning on the ranch. Raguna doesn't get any new mail from Anette, but he hasn't had a chance to give her anything of his (the items he hands to Anette usually go to his mail recipients), so he gives her his old hand-knit hat, which she likes. She seems content to wear it over her own hat, even in the hot-ass summer. Hmm...

Feeling confident, Raguna takes a trip down to the third level of the Lava Ruins with his new equipment. He finds that the golems and fire elementals don't aggravate him as much with his new equipment, nor do the mages that are capable of launching waves of stalagmites at him. He eventually comes upon a bomb planted on a catapult machine, which he remembers reading about in one of Selphy's books. Just for fun, he slams on the opposite end with his hammer (because hitting the bomb itself with a sword doesn't work on these machines) and watches it fly into a group of rocks on the other side. He feels that he's getting closer to the bottom, but doesn't quite have enough time to explore it, so he leaves.

He runs into Cinnamon fishing in his backyard again. She tells him that the Elephant constellation is visible in the night sky, and can be seen relatively early at night. Rosetta wanders by, groaning about her feud with Danny, who's now accusing her of selling at a loss to drum up further support for her store and drive him out of business.

Raguna does some fishing at Lake Poli while he waits for the constellation to appear. The Runeys are almost gone from this area, so he goes back to his farm to suck some up and distribute them around. At around 8 PM, he looks up in the sky and finds the constellation. It reminds him a bit of Francoise, who's happily eating away at Bianca's house. He tells Cinnamon about his sighting, who then reveals the existence of a Wooly constellation, which can only be seen if one travels with a monster.
