Ah well, with so few characters my Hector's probably going to hit level 20 way before promotion anyways.

Does the game not count an extra turn if all enemies are dead, or if you killed the boss on the final turn? I thought it was the latter, but maybe I'm wrong.

Oh well, if my turncounts on defense chapters are wrong I'll check the epilogue...

I'm not sure about the latter, but I killed everyone by turn 5 or 6, so I had a few spare turns. I don't think I got 8 simply because it didn't reenter my turn like it usually does when it ends with enemies on the field, simply ending when I hit End on turn 7. I ay be wrong though.

I guess an extra person makes a big difference...you took one less turn than me AND got all the items.

I wonder if you'll manage to get the Lowen/Rebecca or Raven/Rebecca supports naturally.

I'm trying to get them, but the supports in this game are so damn slow. I just do my best to keep Rebecca next to either of the two, and hope it pops up eventually.

My team currently has resiliences of 0 (Lyn), 1 (Hector and Bartre), and 4 (Guy). I agree, it's frightening...

If you're curious about how long supports will take, look here. Either of Rebecca's will take about 40 turns per support level.

Sadly, I don't think Hector/Farina or Guy/Louise are going to happen in my game, at least not to A-rank...Hector/Lyn might though; it grows 3x as fast.

Indeed. I visit Serenes Forest plenty, but that was helpful in letting me gauge when I'll actually be able to get them started.

Course, I decide to support them with some of their slowest partners. That'll take a while.

I've got 156 turns at the same spot as you, so congrats! That might be slightly less if I'm wrong on defense chapter counts.

I've also used Legault three times, but he acquired items and gold Matthew wouldn't have survived to get, so I say it's worth the penalties (included in the above total).

Ah...I see...maybe I should have pushed forward with Guy a little sooner, I might have been able to get him to the east castle. But then again, he doesn't have 8 move like Paladin!Lowen.

So it was Rebecca's critical with a longbow that let you get Lowen over in a timely fashion? I suppose I've had enough of those myself, fair's fair...

Yeah, Rebeccas Longbow crit was the only thing that allowed me to beat it that quickly. The cavaliers constantly spawned, so it was hard to get past them, and would have taken at least 2 more turns without it.

It was also a sheer luck crit, since Rebecca only had 9 chance in the fight. Without it I estimate my turncount to be at about 10 turns, maybe more, since there were some monks and pirates who were going to get in the way which Lowen was able to just barely squeeze by.

either way, it's impressive that you managed to equal my score even though I had a flier to cut over the water.

Be warned, the VS Vaida section of this is my first attempt at a major action sequence, ever. I expect it to sound cheesy, and it's kinda long, but any thoughts on it are welcome!

I completely forgot Vaida gets her stats from the Uber Spear! Does she drop it on death?

The action sequence is excellent, IMO; Lowen's 1 point of damage being significant was a nice touch. Vivid word choice! There's a couple of typos—"starred", and I think you missed an apostrophe, but I already forgot where it was. I'll look forward to seeing the next!

I should have done one myself for Lloyd, but wimped out due to lack of ideas on how to write it.

Now I'm thinking about doing one for Jerme VS Guy to make it up. Or Jerme VS Karel if I can't resist; it's such satisfying poetic justice—they even have similar first lines about a feast for their blade, but Karel's much less creepy.

Sadly, Vaida doesn't drop the Uber!Spear upon death, and the only way to get it is to use the Mine Glitch. Found near the bottom of the page here.

Also, I didn't mind the lack of a fight sequence for Lloyd, since Guy apparently ganked him instantly with a crit, which doesn't leave much to work with.

Brave Sir Lowen, protecting Rebecca...I like how they keep teaming up on bosses. Amazing how he got that 1% critical when he hadn't eaten breakfast like he chides Eliwood about.

I had the same problem getting that last treasure with Matthew. I think it's just a Hero Crest though.

What are Dorcas' stats? I'm curious how he compares to Bartre. I've never really tried using Warriors as bowmen before; it's surprisingly effective. Two secret books + massive CON mean he can hit as accurately as a sniper but much harder (steel bow), or alternatively critical everything with a short bow.

Currently my Dorcas is at level 17 (with 99 exp grr), and his stats are 60 hp, 23 str, 25 skill, 17 speed, 15 luck, 13 def, and 8 res. He isn't doing too badly, but he seems to have been screwed in strength and speed a bit. His skill is where I think it should be or better though, and he hasn't even used any secret books, if I remember correctly.

And about the teaming up one him, I decided to use that weird "enemy circles your unit before attacking them" thing, since it happened to work out that way. The 1% critical was hilarious though, as it came out of nowhere and destroyed what little was left of Jermes health.

I'm impressed at your bravery in sending Dorcas to fight sword-users and a magic-using boss. Farina with the talisman and pure water boosting her res still took 7 damage per shot!

I had used the Talisman on Dorcas before the chapters start to give him a bit of a buff, but I planned ahead and gave him an Elixir, knowing that he would probably get cut, but also knowing his 55+ hp and his decent evasion skills would let him live long enough to heal.

How did you deal with the Berserk bishop?

I can't quite remember, now that I think about it. I think I lured him in with Lowen or something, and then had Raven hand axe him, but I'm not really sure.

Great description of Raven vs. Linus! Glad to see he's gotten over his revenge idea. That Raven/Rebecca/Lowen trio is really working out well for you, isn't it?

I hadn't known before that Linus/Lloyd address the one who defeated their brother differently, interesting.

So what about Vaida and her wyverns? Hector dealt with them all? I haven't played it yet, but I remember last time he didn't have enough strength to beat them quickly. ...Or is it not a rout chapter like I thought? That would certainly change my strategy...

Raven/Lowen/Rebecca is really awesome, since Raven gets the evade boost he needs to help makeup for his crap res and luck, and Lowen and Rebecca geta little boost to strength and crit chance to help them kill stuff.

As for Linus, he doesn't actually say anything different to the person who killed their brother, Linus just makes that accusation to anyone. It's only kinda true anyways, since technically, Limstella kills the brother.

I can't remember the actual win condition, though I think it was rout, but I just left Hector there since Vaida doesn't show up if you kill her previously. Killing them quickly wasn't an issue, since my Hector capped strength in first tier, and was fast enough to double them with an Iron axe.

I think it does, but check the status screen during the chapter just to be sure. I pretty much soloed the chapter with Hector, so I had him claim it, but I'm not sure if he has to.

Rebecca only got the kill because Denning was stupid enough to approach her, thinking his guards would be enough to hold her and Lowen back. He was proven wrong fairly quickly after that.

I've got Bartre and Farina there, everyone else except Hector is between 16 and 18. Hector is level 6. Dunno how you pulled that off, congrats!

I had one less person throughout up until Victory or Death, so everyone else had more experience to go around, which probably helped a lot.
