* ArtisticLicenceBiology: A recent live episode had Nash claiming that the Loris was the only poisonous/venomous mammal; in reality, the male platypus is ''notorious'' for the highly-venomous (and extremely painful) spurs on his legs. Admittedly, this instance is due to the fact that Nash wasn't working to a script at the time; in the scripted episode "All Creatures Great And Dumb," he actually brought up the Platypus' poison spurs.
* CrazyAwesome: William Todd from "Walmart Chemical Warfare," a man who committed 11 felonies in Nashville, Tennessee. Including, but not limited to, jacking a slaughterhouse, two cabbies, four people leaving a bar, a Canadian couple and ransacking a law firm. [[RefugeInAudacity All in NINE HOURS]]. It's the frickin' RealLife VideoGame/GrandTheftAuto!
** Also, Arlo. He's crazy, but he's a crazy genius.
* CrowningMusicOfAwesome: The remix of the famous ''Series/DoctorWho'' theme that he uses for his classic Who reviews.
** Additionally, his use of "Doctorin' the Tardis" by [[TheKLF The Timelords]] when he has to explain back-story. Sometimes he uses "Doctor Who on Holiday" a mashup between "Doctorin' the Tardis" and GreenDay's "Holiday" from the ''American Edit'' mashup album.
** In fact, Nash has a knack for choosing appropriate music for the situation at hand, which is understandable given his line of work. A crowning example of this would be in his ''Top Classic Doctors'' review, where he managed to choose perfect songs to represent each Doctor.
** The intro to ''Here There Be Dragons'' features a chiptune cover of Gary Moore's "Over the Hills and Far Away."
* DudeNotFunny: During a live show, they covered a story where gun sales were going up because people were allegedlly [[SincerityMode preparing for a zombie attack.]] Tara compares it to NORAD tracking Santa Claus and Nash throws out there might be children watching.
---> '''Nash''': Right at this moment, there's one person who's watching this with their eight-year-old child in the background, which they shouldn't be...
---> '''Tara''': Nobody should be watching this with children anywhere near.
---> '''Nash''': ...and that child just looked up and said, "Mommy, what does she mean, Santa's not real?"
---> '''Tara''': Don't do that to me. I have nieces and nephews. Don't do that to me- don't hang that on me. I will ''lose sleep'' over that shit.
* FamilyUnfriendlyAesop: "Be a Better Criminal with Tara"
* FanHater: He has strong, outspoken qualms towards the VocalMinority and FanDumb of the ''WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic'' fanbase.
* FridgeHorror: The show has an absolutely colossal number of stories where people go insane for any number of reasons and attack or harass random strangers, often out of nowhere and without provocation. As cliche as it sounds, it could happen to ''anyone''.
** Especially since there's really no way to prepare for that level of batshit crazy. You can take martial arts classes to learn how to defend yourself from a mugger, but there's no classes on how to deal with a crazy naked guy on bath salts who's clinging onto the hood of your car as you drive down the freeway.
* FunnyAneurysmMoment: Tara's stories about her HilariouslyAbusiveChildhood have become this ever since [[http://taraatrandom.blogspot.com.au/2012/07/big-fellah.html her father died.]]
* HarsherInHindsight: During the 12/10/12 show, they had a story where something bad happens to a child in Connecticut. There's a moment of realization for Tara that it happened in Connecticut (because she lives there) and Nash laughs at that. But for anyone watching when it was posted later, after a certain tragic event that happened in Connecticut... Nash's laugh might have seemed inappropriate. (The comments on Blip and TGWTG were quick to point this out.)
* HilariousInHindsight: Tara's rant about how [[Music/InsaneClownPosse juggalos]] will be the downfall of western society becomes even funnier if you happen to be reading Webcomic/{{Homestuck}} about a month later.
** The story from the 3/5/2012 show of the man who showed up naked to a job interview becomes hilarious with JesuOtaku's {{Witchblade}} [[http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/videolinks/ir/jo/jar/34643-witchblade review]].
** During his review of "K9 and Company" he announces that there is a plot hole "Large Enough To Swallow the Earth." [[ToBoldlyFlee Several years later...]]
** In 2012, Nash did a countdown of [[http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/videolinks/teamt/nash/specials/35587-doctor-who-classic-top-classic-doctor the Top Classic Doctors]]. For JonPertwee entry, Nash included the song "Secret Agent Man" by Johnny Rivers. In 2013, it was revealed that Jon was a [[http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2283542/Double-O-Who-Jon-Pertwees-secret-life-wartime-agent--years-did-battle-Daleks.html secret agent during WWII]] working with IanFleming and WinstonChurchill
* HoYay: After the very long break between pre-taped episodes, Space Guy is seen singing "Stand By Your Man".
* JustHereForGodzilla: There's a large portion of the viewership of Radio Dead Air that are only there for live WTFWWY, to the point where asking when it will start in the chat before its 11:30PM US Eastern start is now apart of the DrinkingGame the regulars have. The regulars also enjoy lightly riffing about the "mass exodus" of people leaving the chat immediately once the show is done (some even leave before ''the sum-up is over'').
** Some new users that come only for WTFIWWY are often dismayed that 90% of RDA is music (primarily requests that skew towards the AlternativeRock side of things) and make their point of airing their dissatisfaction with this as loud as they can. These people are usually banned before WTF even starts. Bans are ''also'' a part of the DrinkingGame.
* NeverLiveItDown: The audience have been reminding him to hit "record" (whether he needed it or not) since he forgot on 5/21/12.
* NightmareFuel: Some of the stories featured are heavy on this. Notably in the 9-19-11 Live show, a story featured [[spoiler: a man having an eel swim up his penis. Fully conscious. He even tried to pull it out while it was "burrowing" in.]] *shudders*
** The entire sequence in both the beginning and ending of Nash, Linkara, and Film Brain reviewing [[TheIncredibleHulk TrialOfTheIncredibleHulk]]. Showing that their addiction to review and criticize is so scary that they might hurt anyone to get to it. Even JewWario.
** The end of his review of "The Web Planet" where he starts shrieking the MostAnnoyingSound from the episode veers a little into the UncannyValley realm.
** Any story where Nash has to specify that nobody got hurt is bound to be this, especially if kids are involved.
* '''{{Squick}}''': The stories featured on the show tend to be... kind of gross at best, and absolutely horrifying at worst.
** Taken UpToEleven when somebody has sex ''with a dead squid.'' Which, as theorised by Nash, will spawn '''[[EldritchAbomination CTHULHU.]]'''
* TooSoon: The reason Nash temporarily retired the Douchequake after the earthquake/tsunami in Japan.
* UnfortunateImplications: Nash says in one episode that every man's fantasy is to have two women at once- without taking gay and asexual men into account. Tara quite rightly questioned this.
** During a much more recent episode, Nash's explanation over why a dog cannot be accused of being gay ends up being accidentally mangled into "the dog can't make conscious choice because he doesn't speak English." Again, Tara questioned this.
* DarthWiki/WallBanger: Quite a few DarthWiki/WallBanger-worthy stories come up. One of which actually prompts Nash to go outside and build a wall to bang his head against.
* TheWoobie: Stick Boy. During "Tainted Love", he has a crush on ObscurusLupa... only for her to reject him, and then get threatened by ToddInTheShadows.
** Nash himself following him losing his job and he and Hope breaking up (amicably) in the same week. Seriously, the guy looks like he needs more hugs and puppies then Doug does when he's depressed. Some fans have noted that 2013 just ''sucks'' for the guy.
*** Especially since he's now suffering from insomnia.
*** And now his dad has died as well.
*** Seems as if the break-up wasn't as amicable as it was made out to be. The internet certainly hasn't helped matters by prying when they ''really'' shouldn't have, prompting JO's new boyfriend to accidentally insult all of the TGWTG fans by calling them gossip mongers.
