* AwesomeMusic:
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-DNJ-chwtk The glorious]] [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OZ4c1X5ene8 opening]], for starters.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-h7Koco4wnU "Attack of the Tridents"]] is used for the space dogfights, and boy are those guitar riffs punchy!
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5n42lK11nY "Chase"]] is also pretty punchy.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WQaknWwIunc "The Curse of the Gods"]] is downright spine-chilling and perfectly conveys the fact that Ulysses and his crew are powerless against the [[CosmicEntity gods]], or how menacing the enemy of the week is.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j3PUlhLaUqA "Tales and Legends"]] is also pretty spine-chilling, and serves to underline how hopeless it can be to defy the gods or suffer their wrath.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vrv3mqEV-iw "Chronos, master of time"]] is as beautiful and ClockPunk-[=appropriate=] as it is [[SoundtrackDissonance dissonant]] in regards to the sinister motivations of Chronos.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MnTXKl_GeBM "Stranger Worlds"]], used when Ulysses explores the unknown (and most of the time, dangerous) worlds the ''Odysseus'' comes across.
** The recent covers of the whole soundtrack by [[https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCoDpQJT1slzlxyV1iLFa8Lw Parallax]] are worth mentioning. They simply made it even more awesome, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MFlxAGgPhb4 "Ulysses slaying the Cyclops"]] especially.
* CriticalResearchFailure: In the French version of the episode "Strange Meeting", Ancient Greece!Telemachus mentions that he searched for his father in several Greek cities, including "Sparta and Lacedaemon". Sparta and Lacedaemon are two different names for the same city.
* EarWorm: Both the opening and ending songs are very catchy, the French and English versions at least.
* GatewaySeries: Along with ''Anime/TheMysteriousCitiesOfGold'', this series helped initiate a whole generation of Western viewers to anime.
* HilariousInHindsight:
** The French voice of Chronos, the master of time, is Pierre Hatet, who would dub {{time travel}}ler Doc Emmett Brown (Creator/ChristopherLloyd) in ''Franchise/BackToTheFuture'' a couple years later.
*** Now consider Chronos' {{Evil Laugh}}s. Pierre Hatet is also the French voice of ComicBook/TheJoker in the WesternAnimation/DCAnimatedUniverse.
*** One more: one of Chronos' powers is RapidAging. Hatet also voiced Mr. DNA in ''Film/JurassicPark'', who goes from cells in a dinosaur egg to a giant dinosaur in the span of a few seconds.
** ''Franchise/StarWars'' had a major influence on this series, especially since many of its {{stock sound effects}} are used in it. Évelyne Séléna (the first French voice of super-computer Shyrka) is none other than the French dubbing voice of Leia (Creator/CarrieFisher) in the Original Trilogy.
** The series also had ''Franchise/StarTrek'' as one of its most important SpaceOpera influences, so much so that Ulysses would make a perfect Starfleet captain. Creator/ClaudeGiraud (the French voice of Ulysses) later did the French dub of Captain Jean-Luc Picard (Creator/PatrickStewart).
* NightmareFuel: The ending of "The Seat of Forgetfulness".
* TheWoobie: Virtually every named character who's endlessly tormented by the gods while not really deserving it is this.
