* SugarWiki/FunnyMoments: Lots, although it tends to fall on the grimmer side of humor.
* SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments: Despite being a general hardass, Henno accidentally has these on occasion. Even Jerkass Louie gets an extended one in Season 3 while dealing with 'Christmas'.
* HeartwarmingInHindsight: Many viewers scoffed at the idea of Becca Gallagher's inclusion in the squad.Chris Ryan is also said to be against this production decision. Then in 2018, women were allowed to join the S.A.S.
* SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome: Frequently, particularly when Colonel Dempsey gets in on the action circa Season 3.
* OnlyTheCreatorDoesItRight: Co-creator Creator/ChrisRyan was an advisor on the first two seasons, ensuing a reasonably accurate portrayal of life in the SAS. But he and several members of the main cast left the show after season and the show became less successful in its final two seasons.
* ReplacementScrappy: The final two seasons saw Corporal Dave Woolston fill Ricky's spot as the token black guy in the team, but failed to make any kind of lasting impression. The same goes for Corporal Ed Dwye and later Corporal Finn Younger for Jamie (the former made so little impression that he died in-between seasons and viewers didn't notice).
* RetroactiveRecognition:
** That's Creator/JamieBamber as Dotsy and Creator/RichardArmitage as Captain Macalwain.
** A young Creator/RussellTovey appears as one of the bank robbers in the first episode.
** A young Creator/ThomasBrodieSangster is one of the cult members in "What in the Name of God".
* TheScrappy:
** Alex Leonard in Series 1 had few redeeming features and added little to the series.
** Becca Gallagher for some from Series 3.
* SeasonalRot: The final two seasons saw half the cast unceremomiously killed off, potentially interesting storylines abandoned and unpopular new additions to the cast.
