* BigLippedAlligatorMoment:
** The "Electric City" bit from Inside-Out just seems to come out of nowhere and is never mentioned again.
** Perhaps the most famous example would have to be the ending to "Cartoon Canines," where the drill sergeant snaps, cracks in two and falls apart to reveal a monkey in a dress and a talking atom that fly off and vanish. The assistant and the two dogs don't know what to make of it initially, but then shrug it off when the Little Dog asks if they should hang out, and the episode ends.
* EnsembleDarkhorse: Hollywood. Six words, all together now: "Isn't that cute? ''BUT IT'S WROOOOONG!"''[[note]]And don't forget the horn blowing when the "Wrong" comes out![[/note]]
* SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoment: Right after Big Dog and the hamster he fell in love with are forced to go their separate ways, Little Dog consoles him, saying "There's plenty of other hamsters in the sea, I just hope they can swim". The two dogs than share a laugh. After the heartbreak, it's nice to see Little Dog cheer his friend up like that.
* HoYay: Early on in the episode "Love", the two dogs discuss love before looking at each other affectionately. This ends as soon as Big Dog falls for a female hamster, but it's still unforgettable.
* MemeticMolester: The Witch is quite popular with vore fans.
* MemeticMutation: The Internet has given quite a lot of attention to Hollywood's catchphrase "Isn't that cute. BUT IT'S WROOOOOOOONG!", especially its occurrence in the brief scene of him yelling at a bird that plays at the end of the episodes "Inside Out" and "Bathroom Humor".
* SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome:
** Anytime Big Dog makes an unexpected, insightful speech (which is not often at all). [[GeniusDitz It really seems to imply that despite how slow to respond and dim-witted he is, he has tons of knowledge on complex issues hidden deep within his tiny brain.]]
** From "Post Office", on being threatened to die from a nuclear bomb explosion:
---> "[[MotiveRant Is this really the best way to cope with the complex emotions you're experiencing? You've clearly reshaped your outward reality to justify your internal desire for conflict resolution. Don't turn to outward violence, turn to inner strength.]]"
** From "Love Doctors", while trying to convince Kenny Fowler to quit weaseling out of talking to his crush.
---> "[[RousingSpeech Listen, kid. Love is the only chance for happiness you'll ever get in this life, and if you're gonna let a little thing like rejection stand in your way, maybe you might as well just stay right there on the ground, 'cause people are gonna be walking all over you for the rest of your life.]]"
* NauseaFuel: The end of "Red Strikes Back" is quite nasty, [[DownerEnding as it involves the dogs and Red in the witch's belly, drowning in green acid]].
* NightmareFuel:
** "Inside Out": After Little Dog bites the electric ball from the museum and gets shocked, we are treated to a very freaky scene of a flashing background with electric lines coming down behind it, and a very scary tiki god-like head staring at the viewer saying in a sinister voice "FOOLISH CANINE, I AM NOT ''YOUR'' FRIEND!" and laughs evilly. For a BigLippedAlligatorMoment, that was freaky! The terrifying performance of Creator/JimCummings1952 helps out.
** "Spooks a Poppin'": The [[CreepyCemetery Creepy Pet Cemetery]] setting of the episode (naturally), and the scene where Little Dog charges toward the Big Dog with the monkey skull on his head (he is trying to hit the wall to get it off), with the Big Dog showing genuine fear and not knowing who's under the skull.
* OneSceneWonder:
** As other trope entries will attest, ''everyone'' who saw it seems to remember Little Dog's brief encounter with "Electric City".
** The witch who eats Little Red and the Stupid Dogs is well-remembered for how both terrifying she is and [[HotWitch for her attractive design and voice]].
** The monkey and atom couple for how completely out of left-field their appearance is and for being strangely endearing.
* RetroactiveRecognition: This show was notable for being the first industry experience for many of the show creators and artists who would help come to define the style and aesthetic of the Creator/CartoonCartoons era of Creator/CartoonNetwork, particularly Creator/GenndyTartakovsky, Creator/CraigMcCracken, and Creator/RobRenzetti.
* TearJerker: The ending of "Love", when Big Dog and the hamster he's fallen in love with have to part ways.
* WhatDoYouMeanItsForKids: Might be the only "kids" show to feature a strip club, incestuous make outs, teens "rocking" the backseats of their cars, and a depiction of the female reproductive system.
