* BaseBreaker: Britney and Blaine get their fair share of this, Britney has simultaneously been lambasted for being a MarySue and praised for being a ''likable'' MarySue who gets HiddenDepths later on. Blaine gets bashed for his SickeninglySweethearts relationship with Clover, though some fans do see him as pretty much the perfect match for Clover, as long as you don't ship her in one of her many [[HoYay Les Yay]] pairings.
* BestKnownForTheFanservice[=/=]JustHereForGodzilla: Some viewers only watch it for... certain scenes. [[RuleOfCautiousEditingJudgment Let's just leave it at that.]]
* CompleteMonster: Helga Von Guggen is a greedy fashion designer who makes "seamless" fur coats by kidnapping innocent people, injecting them with a serum that turns them into PettingZooPeople, then [[FlayedAlive skinning them alive]] in what appears to be a giant industrial crusher. She brags about one of her coats, claiming that it's "genuine lawyer". She later designs a line of apparel that crushes people who wear them, with heavy implications that it manages to kill an innocent shopper [[KilledOffscreen off-screen]] just in the opening minutes of the episode it was introduced. While most villains in this series generally [[AffablyEvil have]] [[LargeHam some]] [[IneffectualSympatheticVillain redeeming]] [[VillainHasAPoint qualities]], Helga Von Guggen had none the few times she showed up this show. [[VileVillainSaccharineShow She's one nasty piece of work]].
* CrossoverShip: The aforementioned crossover episode with ''WesternAnimation/MartinMystery'' [[ShipTease teased]] Martin/Alex and M.O.M./Jerry.
* DracoInLeatherPants: Tim Scam and Mandy
* EarWorm[=/=]AwesomeMusic: [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LejVrhwYtec Here We Go]].
* EvilIsSexy: Geraldine Husk and Tim Scam are the most noticeable and recurring, but the series is definitely packing a few others as well.
** Also, Tuesday Tate.
** And of course, we can't forget about Shirley!
* FanPreferredCouple[=/=]FoeYayShipping: Sam/Tim Scam
* FoeRomanceSubtext: Geraldine Husk's obsession with Clover can often reach StalkerWithACrush levels. Most notably the episode ''Super Agent Much.''
* HarsherInHindsight: "Space Much?" features an asteroid about to crash down in Moscow. In 2013, the Chelyabinsk meteor exploded in Russia.
* HilariousInHindsight: Jerry gets a computer assistant name Gladis in the third season. [[VideoGame/{{Portal}} Wait, why does that sound familiar?]] And [[AIIsACrapshoot she turns evil]] in one episode, almost furthering the resemblance.
** The names are even spelled in similar ways. Are you sure someone on the team wasn't a fan of the show?
* [[HoYay Les Yay]]:
** Alex refers to a "super-hot model". The model is female.
** Sam and Mandy in "Eraser".
** Out of the main girls, Alex seems to show the most affection toward Sam, even having an AffectionateNickname for her; Sammy.
* MemeticMutation: The scene where Clover bounces a laser between two mirrors, and uses those lasers to melt a door. This lead to comments about how physics don't work that way, or [[JustEatGilligan asking why she just didn't use the original laser in the first place.]]
* ParanoiaFuel: WOOHP can get the girls from ''anywhere''.
* TheProblemWithLicensedGames: At least two games on handhelds.
* TheScrappy: G.L.A.D.I.S., she was literally killed-off due to fan-complaints!
* TestosteroneBrigade: When a female-targeted kids' show has {{Fanservice}} as much as this one does, it's inevitable.
* TheyChangedItNowItSucks: The voice actors for the English dub being replaced with sound-alike Canadians has been somewhat controversial.
* WritersCannotDoMath: The girls were apparently 10 in the 80's. That would point them in their 30's by the time the show aired.
** Alternatively, the show could be set from the mid-to-late 1990s, just equipped with {{Anachronism Stew}}s.
** No it was most definitely the [[http://totallyspies.wikia.com/wiki/Futureshock! 2000s]], they could've been 10 in the mid to late 90s, some parts of the country were still stuck in the 80s style wise and the outfits the girls wear mimic 2000s trends when not looking 60s mod or bohemian.
* TheWoobie: Alex in "Alex Gets Schooled," where her parents send her to a British boarding school where she is bullied and eventually turned into a dolphin monster. This was all because of her supposed bad grades, only for it to turn out that it was a mix-up the whole time. Also, in "Boy Bands Will Be Boy Bands," where her favorite singer ends up betraying her and forcing her to switch faces with his hag of a manager, as well as the b-plot involving Mandy bullying her.
** Clover in "Matchmaker," she actually breaks down crying after [[EtTuBrute Sam and Alex turn on her]].
