* CompleteMonster: [[DragonInChief Enter]]/[[DragonAscendant Dark Buster]] started with his "attempts" to appease his [[GratuitousEnglish Majesty]] [[BigBad Messiah]]. This involves causing misery as much as he likes and pulling UnwillingRoboticisation, [[WouldHurtAChild even on children]], using them as {{human shield}}s in much more frequently than [[Series/DenjiSentaiMegaranger Guirail]] could even muster and, on top of that, [[ForTheEvulz having a blast while doing them]] with [[FauxAffablyEvil an unabashedly relaxed, but still nasty speech pattern]] peppered with [[GratuitousFrench French]] [[FrenchJerk phrases]]. Even after [[BigBad Messiah]] is apparently destroyed, he seems to escalate his horrors, going so far as to implant himself with two cards containing backups of Messiah's data--one of which also contains Masato Jin's data -- in order to become the new Messiah, as well as implant Hiromu with another card to serve as his SoulJar, forcing the Go-Busters to face the possibility of killing Hiromu in order to stop Messiah once and for all. He even threatens to harm Hiromu so grievously as to put him into a coma, just so that he can keep his SoulJar alive without worrying about Hiromu attempting to off himself -- assuming the card would let him do so.
* EnsembleDarkhorse: Enter has proven to be quite popular amongst fans, who like him not only because of his enjoyment of being the bad guy, but also due to being a quite credible threat, being able to go toe-to-toe with the Go-Busters in fights and succeeding in several of his missions. His proving to be very DangerouslyGenreSavvy and learning for his mistakes as the show moves on has made fans like him even more.
** Among the heroes, the most popular character is, oddly, Usada.
** Now we have Beet Buster and Stag Buster. Their hilarious antics and awesome design and fighting style really help.
* EvilIsSexy: Escape.
* FanonDiscontinuity: Some fans pretend that [[ToughActToFollow the series never exist]] and the franchise should be concluded inmediately with ''Series/KaizokuSentaiGokaiger'', full stop.
* FunnyAneurysmMoment: Rumors seem to have started circulating around that this series will be AdaptedOut (partially because the Kyoryuger adaptation, ''Dino Charge'', is apparently an official announcement). Making jabs about ''Franchise/PowerRangers'' getting ReferenceOverdosed in this season seems a little sour in taste now, huh?
* HeartwarmingInHindsight: Just as the [[GoodIsNotNice hardass]] Commander Kuroki was RescuedFromTheScrappyHeap, Kuroki's actor Hideo Sakaki [[http://www.jefusion.com/2012/08/go-busters-commander-kuroki-arrested.html makes the news by apprehending an upskirt pervert.]] Talk about taking your work home with you.
* HilariousInHindsight: Apparently the [[Series/MahouSentaiMagiranger Magi Yellow]] outfit can promote its actor to gold status (before Hiroya Matsumoto/Tsubasa returned as Beet Buster, [[Series/PowerRangersMysticForce Nic Sampson/Chip]] returned as the [[Series/PowerRangersOperationOverdrive Sentinel Knight]].)
** Go-Buster Oh didn't actually need ''Series/KamenRiderFourze's'' Super Switches to execute a Rider Kick.
** In #17, Jin sends out a loud "Oh, shit". It was funny but then we remember [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=311EWISjV1g this.]]
** #21. Ryuji [[Film/TheIncredibleHulk gets a handle on his "berserk" side]] [[Film/TheAvengers by making it a part of himself.]]
** Since the 'exporting' of Franchise/SuperSentai internationally under the name PowerRangers is old news by now in Japan, the whole premise of Rangers protecting their world's ''power supply'' (the whole Enetron shebang) may have been Toei's attempt to create ''[[StealthPun literal]]'' Power Rangers.
** One old rumor before Go-Busters aired was that Gavan would be the teams mentor. Thirty episodes later, guess who appears? Well...Mind you, not the one we were thinking of.
** In #33, the Powered Custom SuperMode involves an addon to the morpher that fuses our heroes bodily with their Buddyroid partners...kinda like [[Series/KamenRiderDouble CycloneJokerXtreme]]. As if reinforcing this, Red sticks to close-quarter combat (like [=CycloneJoker=]), Blue summons a girder that he uses like a staff ([=HeatMetal=]), and Yellow sticks with the shooting ([=LunaTrigger=])!
** Ryuji was not the first blue ranger to have problems with Overheating. Gosei Blue had in one episode too and, while Ryuji gets psychotical, Hyde gets HILARIOUS.
** The show's overall theme is about how perfection is overrated and that having no flaws can make something boring. Cue Series/ZyudenSentaiKyoryuger's main protagonist Daigo Kiryu, [[TheAce an Ace]] [[MartyStu who's so perfect]], it's stated by Tessai that his one major flaw is that he ''has'' no flaws. [[BrokenBase Whether King subverts or exemplifies Go-Busters is up to the individual person to decide]].
* HoYay: With Shelly and Yōko in episode 31 splitting desserts.
* MagnificentBastard: Enter, oh so much so. DangerouslyGenreSavvy, BadAss, charismatic and more than willing to dirty his hands, he has been the Busters' greatest enemy from the very beginning, often outsmarting friend and foe alike and manipulating situations to his advantage. [[spoiler:No wonder he's become a DragonAscendant.]] Perhaps it's all the more impressive [[TookALevelInBadass that Enter actually]] [[CharacterDevelopment worked his way to become this]].
* MemeticMutation: Two episodes in and there's already a tally running to count how many times the Go-Busters [[http://countzaglasses.com/ throw their glasses aside]].
** Go-Buster Ace dancing.
** When it was revealed that [[spoiler:Enter put the 13th Messiah Card in Hiromu and used it to back himself up]], many people commented that "[[spoiler:Hiromu is a [[Literature/HarryPotter Horcrux]]]]!"
** "It's time for ______ Buster!" seems to be getting this status.
* MoralEventHorizon: Their plan in Mission 3 pushes Messiah and Enter over this, as the UnwillingRoboticisation and near ''mass murder'' committed in the episode was outright said by Enter to be solely ForTheEvulz.
** In Mission 10, Enter pulls UnwillingRoboticisation on a number of civilians, including a ''child'', and then using them as HumanShield.
** And in Mission 49, [[spoiler:he goes even further, assimilating an Enetron tank, turning it into a Megazord, along with dozens of innocent employees. He even attempted to absorb children! And his final plan has him doing this all over the world. As if we needed any more reason for him to be deleted!]]
* MostAnnoyingSound: The sound heard whenever a Metaroid is created.
* {{Narm}}: Half the fanbase considers it DarkerAndEdgier {{Deconstruction}}. The other half of the fanbase is rolling their eyes at chickens and not eating enough candy being weaknesses.
* NightmareFuel:
** Mission 3, which is not unlike a ZombieApocalypse.
** Overheated Ryūji ''is'' badass, but his way of fighting was utterly sadistic even for ''Sentai'' standards and terrifying. No wonder Yōko was scared out of her pants.
*** For that matter, both Yōko's and Hiromu's weak points border on AndIMustScream.
** [[spoiler:Enter after his defeat in Mission 30. Somehow him becoming more stoic and calm with only occasional traces of his troll-like persona remaining. Somehow this makes him even ''more'' disturbing than he already was.]]
** [[spoiler:Well, Escape's megazord debut. She takes Enter and CRUSHES him using the megazord's hands. It's pretty graphical for a show like this and there's the crushing sound to make everything better.]]
* RoboShip: Usada and Yoko. Later, Yoko and J get paired up often.
* SpecialEffectFailure: when in close-up shots, the Buddyroids' eyes just look like glow-in-the-dark ''stickers''.
* TheScrappy: Hiromu Sakurada is mainly despised by the fanbase. Reasons are lacking proper CharacterDevelopment and not being cool as [[Series/SamuraiSentaiShinkenger Takeru Shiba]] or [[Series/KaizokuSentaiGokaiger Captain]] [[ToughActToFollow Marvelous]], as well as getting much {{Wangst}}. He's also the reason why this series is unpopular.
* TheyJustDidntCare: You know it is bad when the ''spin-off series'' ''[[Series/HikoninSentaiAkibaranger Akibaranger]]'' gets more effort poured into rather than the Sentai of the year. Later on ''Series/KamenRiderWizard'' also suffered from the same problem, with Akibaranger's second season airing on the same year.
* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot: Messiah's origin is never revealed. Being a computer virus, one would think that it'd be a man-made entity, and some speculation is made regarding its origins (perhaps the scientists at the facility, or even Hiromu's parents created it). It would have made for an excellent reveal during the late stages of the series, but it was never even hinted at or touched on.
* ToughActToFollow: Go-Busters is a great show, but had the misfortune of coming after Gokaiger, which was brimming with awesome. It's worse if you compare it to Kobayashi's previous Sentai, Shinkenger, where the cup runneth over with epic dramatic awesome ''every single episode.''
* UncannyValley: An intentional case. [[spoiler: Hiromu's face on Enter's head is very... off.]]
* {{Vanilla Protagonist}}s: With the exceptions of Jin and J. The three core Go-Busters (Hiromu, Ryuuji and Youko) are this, since it didn't got CharacterDevelopment for them, even in their focus episodes, making themselves {{Static Character}}s.
* SugarWiki/VisualEffectsOfAwesome: The special effects are ''really'' top notch this year.
** Notable is the almost complete lack of stock footage, especially when the [[Series/KaizokuSentaiGokaiger previous season]] was full of it.
