* ItWasHisSled: Every poster and summary of the film, and even the ''title'' of [[Recap/MysteryScienceTheater3000S04E05BeingFromAnotherPlanet the version of the movie used on MST3K]] spoil the mummy's alien origin.
* UnintentionallyUnsympathetic: We are meant to see the mummy as some kind of AntiVillain who just wants to get the crystals so he can go back home. The thing is, he murders several people just because they have some crystals he wants, even though they didn't know about it and he could have just taken the crystals without hurting them (given how strong he is). Not to mention he kills a janitor who didn't even have a crystal and was just in his way basically.
