* HamAndCheese: Steven Berkoff's portrayal of Hitler in the War and Remembrance TV series. In his VillainousBreakdown in the last episode, he Wangst appears to be throwing a tantrum.
* NightmareFuel: The concentration camps (the miniseries contains shockingly explicit footage of the victims being gassed, then their naked bodies being dumped into mass graves), between the matter of factness from high command and the sadism of the soldiers involved. One even pisses in the mass graves to upset the prisoners. Repeatedly.
* QuestionableCasting:
** It's downright bizarre seeing Ali [=MacGraw=] being treated like she's some exotic temptress, who one person even says might be mistaken for an Arab.MacGraw only played Natalie in the first miniseries; in War and Remembrance, she was played by the half-Jewish Jane Seymour, whose looks do much better fit the character.
** The person behind the Arab comment was trying really really hard not to say "She looks Jewish" to Ali's new mother-in-law.
* TearJerker: The end of the final chapter of A Jew's Journey, as well as Aaron's actual death. More generally, all of the Holocaust scenes.
--> "These scattered notes, much more than anything else I have written, must serve as the mark over the emptiness that will be my grave."
** death.
** "Rozhinkes Mit Mandlen." A lullaby has rarely been so devastating.
