* NightmareFuel:
** Dinosaurs eating meat in gory detail, and some of the experiments also qualify.
** The ''Triceratops'' killing the ''T. rex'', we see the inside of the ''T. rex'' when it's getting punctured by the ''Triceratops''' horn.
* TearJerker: The death of ''Tyrannosaurus'' in the first episode is a surprisingly sad moment. The predator has realized the fight with the ''Triceratops'' isn't going well and [[KnowWhenToFoldEm attempts to retreat]], but it doesn't run away fast enough and the ''Triceratops'' gores it, and the T-Rex limps away. Somber music plays as it collapses on the ground, tries to get back up, but doesn't have the strength, before its eyes shut and dies. It reminds the audience that the feared predator was still an animal just trying to survive in a kill or be killed world like the ''Triceratops''.
* SugarWiki/VisualEffectsOfAwesome: The program had some spectacular effects for a TVDocumentary, especially the parts when the presenter walked around and interacted with the dinosaurs. That said, the {{CGI}} model for the ''Tyrannosaurus'' skeleton looked quite bad.
