* GameBreaker: Of the four playable Simpsons, Bart is arguably the most useful in the Playstation 2/Wii versions due to being the only one with a constant accessibility to a ranged attack. Sure, Lisa has her hand of Buddha, which is much more powerful than Bart's slingshot, but that requires a statue of Buddha to be nearby. Gummi Homer has a ranged attack as well, but that requires Ammo, while Bart's ammo is only necessary to kill things from a distance faster.
* HarsherInHindsight: In the last level, Lisa claims that "[[Film/TheKingOfKong Billy Mitchell]] is the god of video games". Mitchell's ''VideoGame/DonkeyKong'' world record was revoked in 2018 due to evidence of cheating.
* HilariousInHindsight: Lisa showing concern over what might happen to them once the Platform/PlayStation4 inevitably releases and turns the seventh generation of consoles obsolete. However, in that same rant, Lisa, along with many others, incorrectly assumed that Microsoft's next console would be named the Xbox 720. Say hello to the Platform/XboxOne, everyone.
* MemeticMutation: Me Everytime After The Lobotomy [[labelnote:Explanation]]A [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vI2eNeD-jWQ video of Bart running around the house]] and bumping into things while random effects such as buzzing and the cover of Music/AbbeyRoad play became a popular meme due how nonsensical it is.[[/labelnote]]
* NightmareFuel: In the Game Engine hub, walking to the elevator on the left reveals Sherri and Terri in it. And they’re acting like the twin girls from ''Film/TheShining'', spouting creepy lines about wanting to play with the Simpsons.
* SugarWiki/NoProblemWithLicensedGames: The game has received praise for its writing, both for having recreated the tone of the show quite well and its satirization of video gaming as a whole. Having the show's cast and writers on board clearly helped. The gameplay mechanics were also well received.
* ThatOneBoss: God can actually be very, very difficult if you aren't good with DDR. Ironically can become this to ''regular'' DDR players [[DamnYouMuscleMemory due to the different arrow placements.]]
* UnderusedGameMechanic:
** Being able to switch between all four members of the Simpson family at will is an interesting idea that could lead to more complex level design, but the only areas to allow such an ability are the [[TheVeryDefinitelyFinalDungeon final level]] and the Game Engine hub. Every other level only allows you to switch between two characters at a time, and you're still restricted to two members at a time even in the Springfield hub.
** Out of the playable Simpsons characters, Marge is easily used the least: she's playable in only four levels and is never paired with Bart.
* UnexpectedCharacter: Since ''WesternAnimation/{{Futurama}}'' is created by Matt Groening, the appearances of Bender and Zoidberg could be unexpected for non-Simpsons fans.
