* AudienceAlienatingPremise: With no big names (aside from Creator/MattLanter), poor marketing and similarities to ''Film/SingleWhiteFemale'', this film just sank without a trace.
* CriticalBacklash: A 3% on Rotten Tomatoes? Ouch.
* LesYay: A strong belief for Rebecca's obsession over Sarah is that she's a PsychoLesbian. If she's not this, then she's a very jealous and clingy "friend".
* MoralEventHorizon: That bit with [[spoiler:the kitten in the dryer.]] Doubles as a {{Tearjerker}}.
* NightmareFuel: Rebecca is clearly a mentally unstable person & is SO attached to Sara enough to just get rid of anybody who simply takes Sara away from her for even as long as a few seconds.
** The movie's climax even shows that [[IfICantHaveYou if she can't have Sara, then she'll kill her]] as well.
** Let's address the scene where Tracy gets attacked by Rebecca in the shower. Rebecca orders Tracy to stay away from Sara otherwise she'll kill her because she sees her as "a bad influence on her."
*** To further emphasize her point, Rebecca LITERALLY rips out Tracy's belly button ring. [[ScrewThisImOuttaHere No wonder Tracy hightails it to her new dorm]] [[WhateverHappenedToTheMouse & disappears for the rest of the movie.]]
*** To those thinking of getting your navels pierced, let alone ANY body part pierced, you'd best pray to god that won't happen to you, especially whilst taking a shower!
* ParanoiaFuel: The idea that your roommate could be a mentally unstable person who may be become just a little too attached to you could be enough to make you want to live by yourself for a while.
* SignatureScene: Tracy being attacked by Rebecca in the shower.
* TheyCopiedItSoItSucks: The movie is very often called a rip-off of ''Single White Female''. It doesn't help that the scene where [[spoiler:Rebecca stabs Jason to death]] is lifted almost shot for shot from a similar scene from the former.
* UnintentionallySympathetic: Rebecca. Though she did not exactly draw people to cheer on her violence, some people related too painfully well to Rebecca's awkward attempts to make friends and appear "normal." The scene where Rebecca's classmates run into her at the cafe might seem familiar to anyone who has suffered a mental illness or merely been labeled as weird in high school, and has wanted to move past that reputation. Though Rebecca clearly has not moved past her high school habits, which can bring an uncomfortable realization to some people that their high school years are never fully behind them, even after they graduate and move on to the real world of college and employment.
