* CultClassic: It has been considered to be this outside Germany, which was where [[GermansLoveDavidHasselhoff the show was more popular]].
* FauxSymbolism:
** Neither the Irish names, accents, or landscape is integral to the plot, raising the question, how is this a world "where Irish myth lives"?
** It's a complete [[HilariousInHindsight coincidence]], but ''Series/PowerRangersSamurai'' has the same five elements, fire (red), water (blue), forest (green), earth (yellow) and air (pink). Forest and Air were Wood and Heaven in ''Series/SamuraiSentaiShinkenger'', so it certainly wasn't intended to match Mystic Knights, it just did.
*** Forest and Wood are the same, it's just that Wood has DoubleEntendre jokes in the West. Heaven was meant as Air, but the kanji for Air didn't provide an appealing visor design. The two are the same because Wood isn't exactly an uncommon ElementNumberFive.
* FightSceneFailure: Fight scenes in the show were never particularly good, but one episode stood out. The Knights' weapons got "frozen" so they couldn't use their magical attacks. Said fight consisted of Deirdre and Ivar waving their weapons at the enemy while absolutely nothing happened, which served to emphasize just how little actually happened in a fight when there were no special effects added.
%% * GrowingTheBeard: The Warrior Of Temra Arc, as described on the main page. %% An example should not have to direct you to another example to explain its context.
* GermansLoveDavidHasselhoff: The show was pretty big in Germany. Not a major hit, but bigger than a simple CultClassic nonetheless.
* NarmCharm: It was already pretty trashy when it first aired, and still one can love every minute of it.
* NeverLiveItDown: Reading through these pages, it's easy to come to the conclusion that Dierdre is a useless FauxActionGirl and perpetual DamselInDistress. The truth is, in fifty episodes she's held captive... seven times. That number is often mitigated by circumstances -- twice she's kidnapped ''along with'' Ivar, and twice more she falls victim to Aideen's pranks, requiring the two of them to team up and help each other escape from the unforeseen consequences of the fairy's magic without any male assistance. Another time there's a straightforward HostageForMacGuffin situation, though she manages to free ''herself'' once the knights' weapons have been given up. That leaves only ''two'' gratuitous kidnappings. It was also something of a {{justified|Trope}} trope considering she was the Princess of Kells, making her position as the most politically significant team-member the reason for Maeve's frequent targeting of her. In other words, she does spend more time as a DesignatedVictim than any of her male compatriots, but it's not quite as bad as detractors would have you believe.
* SpecialEffectsFailure: Every. Single. Monster. Then again this is aping the ''Power Rangers'' concept and you know how silly their villains can look.
* SugarWiki/VisualEffectsOfAwesome: CGI aside, all other effects like the sets, the costumes, the battle scenes, and especially the Knights' armor looked very good, considering it was a Saban series.
