* CompleteMonster: "Queen Esther": [[PoliticallyIncorrectVillain Haman]] is the [[AmbitionIsEvil ambitious]] and petty [[EvilChancellor advisor]] of King Ahasuerus who [[ManipulativeBastard manipulates]] the king into banishing his wife. Leading the search for candidates for new royal wife, Haman developed a hatred for the Jew Mordecai after the latter refuses to bow to him. Haman manipulates the king into passing a law by which [[FinalSolution all Jews in the empire are to be eradicated]], while also trying to speed up Mordecai's execution.
* EvilIsCool: Really, it was a bad idea on the creators' part to cast TIM CURRY as the Serpent of Eden unless they were going for this.
* SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments: During "The Miracles of Jesus", Benjamin, the widow of Nain's son, tells the story of Jesus resurrecting him. At this point, the camera cuts to the funeral procession. Jesus tenderly tells the woman not to cry and then brings her son back to life. Her voice brims with emotion as they're reunited. Benjamin closes by saying he makes a tour of the sites of Jesus' miracles every year and invites Derek, Margo and Moki along.
* MemeticMutation: Website/FourChan has made an anti-Semitic meme out of the line, [[GreedyJew "Shekels can be even dearer friends, especially when there are many, many of them."]] This, by the way, ignores the original context. The line is from the episode "Samson and Delilah," in which it's spoken by a Philistine, not a Jew.
* {{Narm}}: Unintentional, but some of the dialogue ends up sounding a bit cheesy (this is still a Creator/HannaBarbera series after all):
** Especially one bit in the nativity episode wherein they watch everyone witnessing the birth of Christ... and Derek's visibly OffModel.
** In David and Goliath, Moki at one point says "I see some tents", but his accent sounds like "I see some tits!"
* NightmareFuel:
** The Angel of Death in the Moses episode, portrayed very ominously as a thick black cloud that gradually envelops most of the screen. The music doesn't help.
** King Herod in the Nativity episode only appears for a few scenes, but is terrifying enough since he's voiced by Creator/VincentPrice. Then the Roman soldiers report back to him near the end of the movie, prompting him to make a NightmareFace as a ScareChord plays. ''Then the camera zooms in until all you can see is said face''.
