* AlternativeCharacterInterpretation: In Survivor Series 2000 Elimination Tag Team match between Edge & Christian and Right to Censor vs Hardy Boyz and Dudley Boyz[[note]]which was won by the latter team with Wrestling/JeffHardy being the sole survivor[[/note]], Right to Censor members save for Ivory entered the ring and ganged up on Jeff. Soon, Dudley Boyz and Wrestling/MattHardy came to Jeff's aid and cleared the mess. Matt helping Jeff, understandable. But why did the Dudleys help Jeff too? Could it be that deep down, the Dudleys actually care for the Hardy Boyz? Or did they came to the ring again just to kick more asses?
* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: The explosive rap-rock that is Jim Johnston's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ZtroGgkzWk "We're Comin' Down"]].
* CaptainObviousReveal: Bully Ray being the leader of Wrestling/{{Aces And Eights|Wrestlers}}. Everyone who stated this admitted that they had no evidence or concrete proof; they were just use to TNA pulling this kind of thing.
* [[CrossesTheLineTwice Crosses the Line Several Times]]: Their promos in ECW would often be this; what else can describe Bubba Ray saying that the moms in the crowd taught their daughters how to "suck dick"? They would actually come close to sparking ''riots'' with their promos, and that's from the supposedly "smart" ECW crowds. It did go ''too far'' once though, during a Wrestling/NewJack-Dudleys brawl, Sign Guy held up a sign reading "NEW JACK DROPPED THE SOAP IN PRISON", which didn't go over well.
* DesignatedHero[=/=]DracoInLeatherPants: Bully Ray is a violent sadist who will relentlessly pursue anyone he feels has wronged him and isn't even above putting women through tables. Even as a face, the only defining quality that sets him apart from when he's a heel is his choice of targets and causes and his interaction with fans. The exception of course being his faux-face run during the Aces & Eights storyline since the whole point of that was that he was just faking it to further his plans to get the belt he wanted. Yet because of how good he is at his work he's managed to achieve [[PopularityPower too-cool-to-hate]] status over the years, joining such luminaries as Wrestling/TripleH (pre-Wrestling/TheAuthority), Wrestling/CMPunk and Wrestling/{{Edge|Wrestler}}. However, his case is less offending than most cases of either trope in wrestling because [[AtLeastIAdmitIt he is openly self-aware about who he is]], plus his moments of altruism seem to be genuinely motivated by his respect for the business.
* FanonDiscontinuity: Reverend D-Von? Nope. Never heard of him.
* FridgeLogic: At ''ECW [=WrestlePalooza=] 95'', August 5, 1995, there was an 8-man tag with Raven's Nest (Wrestling/{{Raven}}[=/=]Wrestling/StevieRichards[=/=]The Dudley Boys [Dudley Dudley and Big Dick Dudley]) vs. Wrestling/TommyDreamer[=/=]The Pitbulls (#1 and #2)[=/=][[Wrestling/MickFoley Cactus Jack]]). In the Nest's pre-match promo, Dudley Dudley ran down the Pitbulls, saying, "There's no way you're going to hurt Big Dick. And Little Stevie, we're not going to let you hurt Little Stevie. And Raven, there's no way you're even going to get close to this guy." The problem is that, going by process of elimination, if the faces weren't going to be able to hurt Raven, Stevie or Big Dick, that meant that they WOULD be able to hurt Dudley Dudley.[[note]]This was the match where Cactus turned heel, leading to his AWESOME "Cane Dewey" promo and his whole anti-hardcore campaign.[[/note]]
* GrowingTheBeard: Bully Ray rededicating himself physically, getting into tremendous shape and emerging as a main player (as in, THE BigBad) in TNA.
** Even his introduction fits this trope in comparison to the rest of his career as the Bubba Ray Dudley/Brother Ray/Bully Ray character. Whereas in older times he had trouble saying his name, nowadays he goes out of his way whenever he gets the chance to make sure everyone knows who he is.
* HilariousInHindsight:
** The Dudleys (Dudley and Little Snot, w[=/=]Big Dick) debuted in a winning effort against the Pitbulls (#1 and #2) at ''ECW Hardcore Heaven'', July 1, 1995, after Wrestling/{{Raven}} dragged Wrestling/StevieRichards and Beulah [=McGillicutty=] back to the locker room after the as-yet-unnamed Wrestling/{{Francine}} kissed Stevie and got into a {{Catfight}} with Beulah. During the match, Wrestling/JoeyStyles said that it would be the last time they saw the Dudleys. Technically he was…almost right, as Little Snot was gone after ''Heat Wave'' two weeks later, at which point that original combination of the Dudleys never happened again. But in terms of ExactWords…come on.
** During the 1998 Heatwave PPV, Bubba Ray claimed that they'd challenge the tag teams of the WWF. Guess where they'd turn up more than a year later...
** Mark [=LoMonaco=]'s debut character in his wrestling career was a biker from Hell's Kitchen, New York named Mongo Vyle, with Mongo taken from his fraternity pledge name in college. Now look at Bully Ray — especially during the Wrestling/{{Aces And Eights|Wrestlers}} run. Had to bring back some memories.
%%ZCE LoveToHate: Bubba Ray and D-Von in ECW. Bully Ray in TNA since GrowingTheBeard.
* MemeticMutation: Wrestling/ScottSteiner's promo against Ray and Devon at TNA's ''Bound For Glory 2007'', where he repeatedly referred to their FAT ASSES.
%%ZCE ShockingMoments: Their famous wild spots with tables come to mind.
* SuspiciouslySimilarSong: Their TNA theme "Watch Out, Watch Out" was a blatant copy of their final WWE theme, Music/{{Powerman 5000}}'s "Bombshell".
* UglyCute: Devon would be quite handsome if not for the forehead scars.
** Bubba gained a lot of fan girls once he became Bully Ray. Depending on where you looked online, he had some when he was doing the stuttering gimmick when they first arrived in WWE.
* VindicatedByHistory: Bubba might have gotten a World Title shot when the Dudleyz first split, but it was during the infamous "Reign of Terror" where Wrestling/TripleH ran through almost everyone. At least Reverend D-Von introduced the world to Wrestling/{{Batista}}.
* XPacHeat: Bubba Ray was once the least popular Dudley when ECW first pushed them as baby faces. Paul Heyman used camera manipulation and planted fans to cover this fact up until the fans spread out a bed sheet with "Bubba Must Die" written in big, bold letters across it. Bubba was RescuedFromTheScrappyHeap after turning heel however, and if not the most popular Dudley, as some people still liked Spike, Dick or Devon more, at least became the best known Dudley.
