* {{Accidental Innuendo}}: In the sequel, you can [[FishingMinigame go fishing,]] but in order to catch fish you'll need Bait. Certain types of Bait can catch certain fish — Normal Bait catches normal fish, Goldfish Bait catches Goldfish, etc. As it happens, there are [[TheCatfish legendary fish called Masters,]] who can only be caught with... Master Bait.
* AnticlimaxBoss:
** The Bonus Boss of the first game follows a very predictable pattern, which makes him very easy to beat once you memorize it (or look it up on the internet) as you can block all of his attacks.
** Thunder Keeper from the third game is an absolute joke. With the combination of equipment that allows you to hit his weakness and being able to kill the enemies in the Thunder Temple to level grind quickly, he'll wind up dead within a few turns. After that, only the final boss can pose a threat to your party.
* CheeseStrategy: The fight with Ice Demon in ''The Denpa Men: Beyond The Waves'' can be made far easier if you bring in a party member and use Ice attacks, forcing Ice Demon to forgo his more dangerous attacks in favour of just hitting one party member. If you want to make him into an even bigger joke, you could paint all of your party members silver so that his attacks can't hit you at all.
* DemonicSpiders: The Fire Mist enemies in the first game, who's identically named attack is a party-wide fire nuke capable of 2HKOing all but your sturdiest characters. They're also ghosts (meaning you can't hit them with normal attacks without special equipment), MadeOfIron, and that they often show up in groups of 2 ''with other enemies in tow''.
** Dark Dragons (the Inferno versions) in the second game tend to hurt like hell if you're not prepared to fight them. Like all enemies in the Inferno, they're ghosts which means you'll need to have special equipment to damage them without magic and their attacks tend to hit hard against all party members.
* DifficultySpike: The first game gets difficult once you get to [[ThatOneLevel Ice Island]] and stays that way until you get to [[TheVeryDefinitelyFinalDungeon Guardian Tower.]]
* EvenBetterSequel: The second game added quite a lot to the series. Several new colours were given to Denpa Men, the player could fight other teams online, players could equip more accessories (which were not only cosmetic but made the game fairer too), and several new powers were added.
* GameBreaker:
** Barriers. They make your Denpa Men fully invincible (Unless they had a damaging status ailment before it was used) and can be bought from the shop for 3500 gold (a small sum late in the game where they are most useful). [[spoiler:They can also turn the Grand King into an AnticlimaxBoss.]] They wound up nerfed in the sequels, though it matters little since it's balanced out by the way equipping items works.
** The second game allows you to paint your Denpa Men in different colours. [[BoringButPractical Gold, Silver]] and [[RealMenWearPink Pink]] tend to be the most effective. The latter two tend to protect you from most elements aside from a crippling weakness to one. The Pink colour tends to see a lot of use in online play due to their added Charm effect combined with a specific set up allowing them to prevent your team from fighting back while they get pummeled to death by an all pink Denpa Men squad.
** The Mirror Suit, Will-o'-the-Wisp and Large Bell items are the most game breaking items in the third game. The Mirror Suit reflects attacks which helps significantly against magic attacks. The Will-o'-the'-Wisp items makes a party member immune to attack which can effectively make your healer/revival member invincible. The Large Bell allows you to use a skill twice which serves you well if you have powerful magic.
* HoYay: The Real Denpa Men, a series of live action videos used to explain various gameplay mechanics, is laden with this.
* MusicalSpoiler: The King of Evil tends to get this throughout the series because most of his fights have the regular boss theme, cluing you in that it's not the final battle against him or that he's not the main antagonist of the game.
* ThatOneBoss: Ice Demon from the first game is the bane of most players due to having attacks that hit hard, target all party members and can freeze them. It doesn't help that his weakness to Fire doesn't do much against him, the equipment to reduce Ice damage is expensive to obtain or that you can only buy Barriers after beating him. And if your main character is green and therefore weak to Ice attacks, God help you. Funnily enough, he's actually easier in the second game if you bring a party member and use Ice on him, forcing him to use his normal attack. The fight with Ice Phoenix being tough also makes sense because [[spoiler: he ends up being turned into Ice Demon after the fight.]]
* ThatOneLevel: [[LethalLavaLand Scorch Volcano]], which is packed to the brim with [[DemonicSpiders Fire Mists]].
* VillainDecay: You could argue that King of Evil became less effective in the sequel because the Evil Witch floored him easily. It's not as bad in ''Denpa Men 3'' back when he was Master Squelch, he was just starting out and he wouldn't have stood a chance against Malignus anyway.
