* CompleteMonster: Sir August De Wynter is the BigBad and an immoral businessman using the funds of Wonderland Weather for his own exploits. De Wynter is the head of the Prospero Project, and discusses the matter with some of the world's top scientists. As a test of loyalty, De Wynter tricks two of the scientists working with him into signing off, knifing them to death immediately after. He also murders the scientists who helped him build his DoomsdayDevice after they serve their purpose. Opposing the Ministry, De Wynter clones Emma Peel and has her clone wreak havoc, murdering agents to frame the real Peel. Previous experiments De Wynter was involved in invoived animal testing, resulting in horrifying mutations on those they were performed on. De Wynter also briefly erases the memory of, and tries to rape, the much-younger Peel. After the Ministry reveals him as the head of the Prospero Project, De Wynter gloats to the world's leaders that if the planet's weather isn't bought from him, he'll use his WeatherControlMachine to ravage the world and kill millions, if not billions, in a variety of horrific ways, such as London freezing to death. A Lust depraved, selfish, Bond-esque mad scientist, De Wynter was a fitting archetype of the demented, shallow villains appearing in SpyFiction, and would happily destroy the world just to satisfy his own IsEvil and greed.
* CrowningMusicOfAwesome: Say what you will about the actual movie, but the main theme is very cool.
* FanonDiscontinuity: Fans of the original series have all but completely disavowed this film and tend to view it as an unfaithful adaptation.
* FridgeBrilliance: Yes, the bear suits are silly as hell. But then again, they've done a great job at distracting you from whatever de Wynter's conference was about, didn't they?
* HamAndCheese: Creator/SeanConnery as Sir August de Wynter.
* HilariousInHindsight:
** Creator/RalphFiennes fighting a former James Bond is especially amusing with the hindsight that in he .
** Creator/UmaThurman's costume on the poster looks rather similar to another female in a movie titled Film/2012.
* Narm: Loads of it. Particularly the overly polite manner in which Emma and Steed face their adversaries, the intended gender confusion among the agency codenames, de Wynter and his minions wearing bear suits, just to name a few.
* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodCharacter: The Ministry has an Invisible Man, and yet they simply hide him away in the filing room, instead of using him as an infiltration officer. For added WTF-ery, the Invisible Man is voiced by Creator/PatrickMacnee, the original John Steed.
* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot: The film has Creator/SeanConnery and Creator/PatrickMacnee, portrayers of famous spies on the silver and small screen respectively, and yet the two never share the screen together.
