* AluminumChristmasTrees: Yes, ''Series/TattooedTeenageAlienFightersFromBeverlyHills'' is a [[http://www.agonybooth.com/video779_Tattooed_Teenage_Alien_Fighters_from_Beverly_Hills_S1E1.aspx real show.]]
* FollowTheLeader: What was once a site for reading in-depth (and hilarious) recaps of bad movies, became a ''Website/ChannelAwesome'' clone with (generally less entertaining) video reviews.
* FranchiseZombie: A good way to get depressed is to look through old Team Agony Booth reviews and see how many people have ceased activity. And now, another is finding that the older recaps are only accessible after a Patreon donation.
* HarsherInHindsight:
** In [[http://www.agonybooth.com/recaps/Leonard_Part_6_1987.aspx the recap]] of ''Film/LeonardPart6'', Dr. Winston O'Boogie writes "Leonard pulls out his sparkly wiener. [[ThatCameOutWrong I’m talking about the one that the nurse gave him, you deviants.]] Though I have heard rumors that Creator/BillCosby’s genitals really shimmer if you look at them in the right light." This has become uncomfortable thanks to Cosby's rape allegations since 2014.
** The recap of ''Film/MonsterAGoGo'' ends with a spoof of that film's [[MindScrew infamous]] [[PlotHole closing]] [[TheTreacheryOfImages monologue]]: "Somewhere, a switch was flipped, a toilet was flushed, a bong was hit. And there was no review of ''Monster A-Go Go'', no thing called 'the agony booth' to be read." With the site having completely shut down in early 2022, and no archived pages in evidence, this statement is now completely true.
* HePannedItNowHeSucks: A few people have been disappointed to find recaps of ''Film/MammaMia'' and ''Film/RepoTheGeneticOpera''. Probably applies to a few other movies too.
** In a combination of this HypeBacklash by recapper Albert Walker, there's [[http://www.agonybooth.com/recaps/500_Days_of_Summer_2009.aspx the recap]] for ''[[Film/FiveHundredDaysOfSummer (500) Days of Summer]]''.
** The Wily Badger's [[http://www.agonybooth.com/movies/Tron_Legacy_2010.aspx recap]] of ''Film/TronLegacy'' hasn't gotten the best response either.
** Really, whenever they recap a movie that people actually like, it sparks some disappointment and anger among readers (the ''Scott Pilgrim vs. The World'' recap and most of those listed above being prime examples).
* HilariousInHindsight: The review for ''[[Film/BrokenArrow1996 Broken Arrow]]'' features the following gem: "To put it in more modern terms, imagine if you had an action movie pitting a bad guy played by Mickey Rourke against the male lead from the Twilight movies." Yeah, you'd hate to think of the "male lead from Twilight" playing an action hero.
* NetworkDecay: The sheer number of video series means that the recaps the site used to be known for are actually hard to find now (they don't have their own section or even a hashtag), and many of the people who wrote them no longer contribute. They started being made again in late 2015, although they're still buried.
** Old text recaps are now effectively locked behind a paywall; you can only read them if you donate $5 or more to their Patreon.
* SoOkayItsAverage: Ryan says it about ''WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic''; he thinks it's a decent show that's been terribly overhyped. And then notes that this will probably still get the bronies screaming for his head.
