* AlternateCharacterInterpretation: Is Ninestein truly a JerkAss with racist tendencies towards robots, hence his constant berating of Sergeant-Major Zero and other Zeroids displaying human emotions? Or is he simply putting them through a harsh SecretTestOfCharacter to determine whether they're truly alive? The fact he treats H.U.D.S.O.N. (another living machine) far more cordially, and occasionally slips an important lesson and advice about human behavior to Zero (and on more than one occasion, genuinely congratulates him for a job well done), seems to imply it's the latter.
* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic:
** The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra recorded an orchestral version of the theme, and it sounds exactly as awesome as you'd expect. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s9GRwqWhcQ0 It's even better when it's paired up to the opening credits, as this video demonstrates.]]
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JfZ4k7z-9_8 The original electronic version]] is just as awesome, comparable in feel to the ''Series/{{Airwolf}}'' theme or Music/TangerineDream's "Le Parc" (better know as the theme from ''Series/StreetHawk'').
* FashionVictimVillain: Cy-Star seems to have a particular love of anything shiny, feathery, or just plain flamboyant when it comes to clothes.
* HoYay: Yung-Star seems quite taken with King Richard III in "My Kingdom For a ZEAF".
-->'''Lord Tempo:''' "We should not take him with us."
-->'''Yung-Star:''' "But he's so ''handsome''!"
* SugarWiki/VisualEffectsOfAwesome: As is expected from a Gerry Anderson show. Plenty of explosions to be had (though these explosions tend to reuse StockSoundEffects over and over again).
* WhatDoYouMeanItsForKids: For a kids' show, this series has some mild swearing. For example, the word "god" is uttered at several points (when most shows aimed at children use "gosh" instead to avoid religious references), and in "Thunder Path", Mary clearly says "bitchy" when describing how the media views Kate. Also, the humor derived from Hiro's thick Japanese accent [[ValuesDissonance can be interpreted as racist]].
