* JustHereForGodzilla: A number of people like to tune in just to [[PointAndLaughShow see how bratty certain kids of the week could be]] and 99% of the time, they are not disappointed.
* NightmareFuel: Some of the kids' behavior can get rather unnerving at times, whether it's hitting their relatives, breaking things in the house without provocation, running towards a road where they [[HarmfulToMinors could likely be run over and killed]], and not showing remorse for their bad behavior. [[FridgeHorror It makes you wonder how they could've turned out if Supernanny didn't intervene.]]
* SignatureScene: A few:
** Phil Davis' emotional abuse of his daughters, especially his oldest.
** Meghann Cooke going out of her way to ''assault'' Jo.
** After the Silva family calls for Supernanny’s help, Jo Frost takes her glasses off to note that “they are in a crisis” and she’ll be on her way.
* {{Squick}}: Seven-year-old Brandon Bixley would become consumed with terror to the point of throwing up during family meals due to developing sitiophobia (a fear of eating) as a result of suffering a particularly severe bout of gastroenteritis as a baby, meaning he would scream and cry even by the pure '''SIGHT''' of food. One of his regurgitating fits is actually shown in full and onscreen.
* TearJerker: The Lewis family, full stop. Mom Antoinette has to be able to parent two small children after her husband, Dwight, passes away from gastric cancer. Seeing Jo tearing up while watching the tape, the funeral where we hear how beloved he was along with Antoinette holding Selah in her arms while crying, and poor Antoinette detailing her worries and fears for the future would be enough to make anyone cry. Hearing two-year-old Selah asking where her daddy is and still drawing pictures for him really adds to the sadness and just makes you want to hug her, her mother, and her baby brother. As to be expected, this deviates from the usual formula of having to fix a dysfunctional family to instead help this family handle their loss and work with their grief.
