* CreepyAwesome: Perfectio's ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsOriginalGeneration'' incarnation is definitely this, with its [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YzVWxwrkiU0 strongest attack]] considered on par with the likes of [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsAlpha Kaiser Ephes]], [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsOriginalGeneration Dark Brain]], and the [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsZ Chaos Lemures]] in terms of sheer NightmareFuel induced.
* CriticalResearchFailure: "Blanche Neige" is the French name for Literature/SnowWhite, but the machine's design is based off of the pumpkin carriage from Literature/{{Cinderella}}; the mechanical designer admitted on {{Twitter}} he got the two fairy tales mixed up. Reportedly, Creator/HoukoKuwashima (Cliana Rimskaya's voice actress) even asked "If it's named for Snow White, why is it orange?"
* CrowningMusicOfAwesome
** Quite a few faithful reproductions of anime theme tunes. In addition, the heroes get their resolve restored whenever [[Anime/{{Macross 7}} Basara Nekki]] and EVE sing a duet.
** Instead of usual {{Leitmotif}}, ''Anime/TheBigO'' uses "Sure Promise", a just-as-awesome background track to battle scenes ("Big O!" does kick in, but only when using the "Sudden Impact" attack).
** "Heats" from ''[[Anime/GetterRobo Getter Robo Armageddon]]'' is a fan favorite.
** The ''Anime/{{Godmars}}'' opening and ending themes qualify as well.
** "ROCK CAFE" fits the dude-on-a-bike that is [[Anime/{{Megazone23}} the Garland]] ''perfectly''.
** Perfectio's {{Leitmotif}} "[[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAKnqM12qoA Despair]]" (formerly referred to as "King of Ruin"), providing a fantastic concluding battle theme.
* FanPreferredCouple: Despite barely any-to-no amount of romance between them, expect {{Fanart}} of Joshua Radcliff and Glacies; likewise, the same applies to Cliana and Ventus
* GameBreaker: See [[Gamebreaker/SuperRobotWars here]] for details.
* GoddamnedBats: No thanks to the GameBreakingBug, Ruina {{Mook}}s become this, and they're even harder than the bosses.
* NeverLiveItDown: WordOfGod has expressed the notion to remake ''Destiny'' in order to fix the perceived problems with it, especially since the originals and the majority of the series represented in it have [[VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsOriginalGeneration reappeared]] [[VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsZ elsewhere]].
** Zigzagged with [[Anime/MobileSuitGundamWing Heero Yuy]], who has the special Spirit Command "Self-Destruct" that's ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin, most likely a ContinuityNod to the two times he attempted to do this in his home series, when all the other ''Anime/MobileSuitGundamWing'' pilots [[spoiler:and [[Anime/{{Macross 7}} Kinryu]]]] also have this at their disposal.
* ScrappyMechanic
** Aside from the problems with the GameBreakingBug, any attacks dealt towards [[Anime/{{Macross7}} Protodeviln]] units ''not'' coming from [[Anime/{{Macross 7}} Fire Bomber]] do half damage. Adding to that, Fire Bomber members burn through "Song Energy" very quickly and there's no way to recover that aside from the standard 5 EN per turn (this is fixed in ''[[VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsAlpha Super Robot Wars Alpha 3]]'', but with a different mechanic).
*** On the flip side, ''Destiny'' has the "reduce EN cost by X percent" equippable parts, which work on the Sound Force. Judicious use of "Armor Breakers" attacks and "Support Attacks" (but not the "Direct Attack" Spirit Command) will negate the Protodeviln's effects.
** Unlike most [=SRWs=], if an attack is strong enough that it'll become a deathblow to an enemy, they are likely to defend it rather than take it head-on (provided they have shields). Couple this with the fact that some bosses retreat at certain HitPoint thresholds, plus the [[GoddamnedBats ridiculously annoying]] Ruina, it's almost as if the ''Destiny'' AI is DangerouslyGenreSavvy enough to know about the GameBreakingBug. Luckily, this only applies to the initial attack: enemies won't block if a Support Attack is what destroys them.
* ThatOneLevel: Zigzagged with Scenario 23 where players must fight several Adrasteas charging a city area, but ensure they are not destroyed as per the ''Anime/MobileSuitVictoryGundam'' plot. What makes the scenario bad is the "Mercy" Spirit Command [[note]]If the pilot's next attack would normally destroy the enemy it hits, so long as the user's skill stat (in ''Destiny'', it's pilot level) is higher than the enemy's, that enemy's HP is reduced to 10[[/note]] does not appear in ''Destiny'' AND unit weapon upgrades are linked (they cannot be upgraded individually in this game), thus players are forced to carefully calculate the amount of damage dealt towards the Adreasteas without triggering a game over. On the other hand, the Adrasteas will automatically defend any attack that would normally kill them, making it much easier to cripple them without destroying them. At the same time, players need to bring three enemy units with named pilots down to 20% of their {{Hit Point}}s. [[GoldenSnitch As soon as it happens, the entire group retreats regardless of any other factors to take into consideration]]. Depending on the line-up of units players are using, this scenario is either this or a BreatherLevel.
* TheWoobie: Not only does Cliana lose her parents in her back-story, [[spoiler:her adoptive father proceeds to ''experiment'' the hell outta her, until she ended up with a SplitPersonality]]. She gets better, though.
** The ''Second Original Generation'' removes [[spoiler:the experimentations]]: instead, [[spoiler:Liana must watch as her sweet personality, Chris, that she accepted as an extended family member, ''vanish forever''. Not only that, she also loses Ventus in front of her. Also, the one that stays is the crafted personality, and Chris was gone because of trying to save Glacies and Ventus in the first place, an act that was fully endorsed by Liana, so Liana has to live with the fact that she killed Chris, the original personality]].
