* ClicheStorm: There is very little to the story that has not been seen in previous {{Tokusatsu}} films and SuperRobotGenre shows.
* SoBadItsGood: It suffers, in the English dub, from bad translations, truck-loads of ham that make things hard to take seriously, the scientist's inexplicable cod-German accent, [[BigBad Avatar]]'s shrill and grossly overused EvilLaugh,a lot of NewPowersAsThePlotDemands including a plot-irrelevant ability to fly, but all served with great designs, animation and an epic soundtrack.
