* CatharsisFactor: The majority of people who get killed by Angela are all the most despicable human beings who bear resemblance to some realistic people that plague society.
* DesignatedVillain: Angela really comes across as this. The campers surrounding her are all nothing but jerkass bullies who pick on her at every turn as the camp councilors stand by and laugh at their "innocent fun". One can't help but feel a little satisfied when she offs all the HateSink characters and cheer her on for rewarding their cruelty towards her with brutal deaths.
* EnsembleDarkhorse: Maria the DecoyProtagonist has gained a few people's attention for coming across as somewhat sympathetic in the film.
* EthnicScrappy: Riff is an African-American gangbanger who lives for nothing but causing trouble, has a HairTriggerTemper, assaults others for fun, and has no redeeming qualities at all. He's one of the most disliked characters in-universe and out of universe for these exact reasons. Don't worry, Angela kills him.
* EvilIsCool: Angela is a LaughablyEvil VillainProtagonist who spouts one-liners after executing every AssholeVictim who bullies her. Naturally, she gains a lot of likability.
* SugarWiki/FunnyMoments: This film, more than any other in the series, ramps up the BlackComedy.
** Herman and Jan's deaths are pretty funny. Herman steps out of the tent with his pants down (wearing long johns, thankfully) before Angela begins chasing him around, hitting him with a stick. The already campy scene is only helped by Jan's hammy line said in a muppet voice:
--> Jan: Hermannnnn! Come back in here what are you dewing?
** Angela's PisstakeRap tape she records herself to have Riff listen to shortly before she kills him:
--> Angela: Angels are pretty, angels can fly\\
And here is an angel that can make you die\\
Got no style, got no flair\\
All you do is fight and swear\\
So say your prayers and make amends\\
Cause your last story is about to end
--> Riff: What the fuck?
* Moe:
** Angela is just as much a GenkiGirl as she was in the previous film.
** Maria is quite a tragic BrokenBird for such a little character.
* NarmCharm: Angela's LaughablyEvil persona and lame one liners are cheesy, but very enjoyable.
* ParanoiaFuel: Angela is able to easily kill Maria in crowded street in public by simply tricking her into entering a dark alley by running her over with a garbage truck. After killing her, she steals Maria's identity to impersonate her while nobody knows of the real Maria's disappearance, since she also smashed her body in the truck's compactor with the rest of the garbage.
* RetroactiveRecognition: Kim Wall, who played Cindy, had a small, but memorable part in Film/AmericanReunion as Kara's mom.
* RootingForTheEmpire: Almost all the characters at the summer camp (except Barney, Greg, and Anita, who get killed anyway) are so unlikable that you'd likely cheer on Angela for slaughtering them all with a CruelAndUnusualDeath for each one who has bullied her throughout the film.
* SoBadItsGood: The movie is definitely not a step up for the original film, but the NarmCharm and Angela's humor fuel some interest for fans.
* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodCharacter: Maria seems to be our troubled, BrokenBird protagonist who could serve as a GoodCounterpart to Angela, but instead she's killed by the SerialKiller before the intro.
* UnintentionallySympathetic: Maria, the girl killed in the beginning, has gained some sympathy due to her living a troubled life, having a strained relationship with her parents, and attempt to change her life by attending summer camp only to be cruelly killed by Angela so the SerialKiller can steal her identity. Made all the more worse since nobody is aware of her true demise.
* UnintentionallyUnsympathetic: Marcia loses all likability when she reveals to Tony that and assaults Angela after the killer spared her life.
* TheWoobie:
** Angela gets her tragic side heavily highlighted in the movie despite her being a SerialKiller. She's also frequently bullied by a lot of the jerkass campers.
** Maria comes across as this due to her being a troubled youth with a lot of emotional scars thanks to her ParentalNeglect. Which makes her tragic death at the hands of Angela all the more depressing.
** Officer Whitmore may come across as this due to his son being killed by Angela in the last film.
