* CultClassic: It received a cult following due to its mean-spirited jokes and toilet humor.
* DarknessInducedAudienceApathy: People are either appalled by the mean-spirited jokes on the show or just become indifferent towards them. It doesn't help when nearly everyone is cruel towards Eric or Kitty and [[JerkassBall even Eric has a nasty streak now and then.]]
* EarWorm: The theme song.
* EnsembleDarkhorse: Mandy Struction.
* FanPreferredCouple: Eric/Kitty and Eric/Mandy.
* JerkassWoobie: Eric or Kitty at times, when they weren't a full-on [[TheWoobie woobie]].
* LoveItOrHateIt: The mean-spirited jokes don't help.
* {{Moe}}: Look at the designs. They look quite cute.
* TheScrappy:
** Trevor, partly because he seems to be nothing more than a bottomless resource for fart jokes and disturbing gross humor. Also partly because he bullies Eric and the others sometimes (and KNOWS it too) despite calling Eric his friend; making him look like a {{Jerkass}} who makes the audience wonder why the gang still hangs out with him. Not to mention Trevor's rather [[{{Squick}} disgusting interest for his own nose...]]
** Vana herself for treating [[ButtMonkey Eric]] like crap most of the time.
* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot:
** Why is there no effort to find Maxum-Man?
** The ''show itself'' has been called this by detractors, with plenty of people admitting to liking the show's technological aesthetic, romances between the characters, and superhero stuff, but being turned off from them owing to the show's reliance on {{toilet humor}} and [[DarknessInducedAudienceApathy blatant cruelty]]. Plenty of fans hope for a reboot that would better utilize said aspects while downplaying the hated aspects.
* TheWoobie: Eric. He has no parents, Maxum Man abandoned him, and everyone in town beats him up (to the point where they made a holiday about it). He isn't even allowed to see his true love, Mandy Struction. You can really sense the writers' sadistic tendencies toward him and Kitty.
