!!This film contains examples of:
* AccidentalAesop:
** It's most likely unintentional, but the cause of [[spoiler:the car crash]] was [[spoiler:Tim]] checking his cell phone while driving. Talk about an unfair consequence.
** As long as you donate your organs, suicide is A-OK.
** If you've experienced a serious, personal tragedy, don't try to deal with it or seek psychological help, just donate your organs and kill yourself.
* {{Anvilicious}}: The two "good" people focused on in the film are vegetarian and one of them has forced her Great Dane to be. You need serious, in-depth work with a qualified vet to even ''attempt'' that, because dogs naturally want ''some'' meat and you'd have to carefully select the foods they get. Just broccoli and tofu ''would not cut it'' and the dog would die of malnutrition.
* BerserkButton: For some viewers, the protaganist's {{plan}}, and the implied Aesop that comes with it were this, especially amongst viewers who [[spoiler:knew someone who had committed suicide.]]
* CriticalDissonance: In contrast of the negative critical reception, this film received a 7.5 in IMDB.
* CriticalResearchFailure:
** [[spoiler:Death by jellyfish would result in your organs being totally unsuitable for transplantation.]] Also, you can't choose whom your organs will go to.
** Also, there's Thomas having sex with a woman with heart failure. [[OutWithABang Clearly that could not have ended well.]]
* DesignatedHero: Thomas' actions seem very stalkerish, bizarre, and just plain unsettling throughout the course of the movie. [[spoiler:Not to mention that he committed two felonies and in the end commits suicide.]]
* EsotericHappyEnding: [[spoiler: The film attempting to portray Thomas' sacrifice by committing suicide so that he donates everything he has to people in need as a happy ending.]]
* FamilyUnfriendlyAesop: [[spoiler:Killing yourself is good, if you donate your organs.]] Also, to make sure your [[spoiler:organs]] go to the right people, impersonate a [[spoiler:member of the IRS to stalk them]]. Preferably a family member so they do not report you to the police.
** Not standing up to a torrent of abuse from a total stranger is unarguable evidence that you are a good person.
* FridgeHorror: One of the people Thomas helps is a poor woman who has been suffering mistreatment at the hands of her abusive partner, he helps her by giving his fancy house next to the beach to her and her children to live in. [[DidntThinkThisThrough Thinking it a little bit through]], he just left a big and expensive house to a person who's very likely she doesn't have the means to maintain it; Worse, this woman already has a history of breaking up and returning with his abusive partner. Chances are this isn't going to end well.
* {{Glurge}}: The movie tries to make ''suicide'' into a moral victory.
* NightmareFuel: Seriously, [[spoiler:death by jellyfish.]]
* UnfortunateImplications: see FamilyUnfriendlyAesop below.
* WhatAnIdiot: [[spoiler:You want to donate all your organs to charity, so you inject yourself with a natural neurotoxin. If any of your vital organs are functional after that, it's a damn miracle.]]
