* BrokenBase: Whether the Dreamcast original or the Wii port is the better version of the first game. The original game has far more precise controls and more challenge, but has a lot less content and the maraca peripherals infamously wear out surprisingly quickly. The Wii version has worse controls, but a far larger amount of songs and many fans feel the motion controls can be adapted to, not to mention the official Wii remotes have been noted to last far longer, and were still produced until the end of the Wii U's life-cycle, making them far easier to get than the maraca controllers ever were.
* ScrappyMechanic: The biggest complaint about the Wii title is the motion controls. They work well enough, but aren't as tuned as they should be.
* TheyChangedItNowItSucks: Some players have lamented ''Party Central'' ditching most of the unique Latino influence of the original game in favor of more mainstream appeal.
* ViewerGenderConfusion: Rio's a slender, lipstick wearing leopard with a girly looking bob haircut. He's also a man. Unless you've read the manual, it's incredibly easy to mistake him for female.
