* HarsherInHindsight:
** According to TIP #97: "The 'infinity' series will go on forever." Yeah, about that...
** SPHIA, on an island near Hokkaido, was hit by an earthquake in the midwinter of 2011. In real life, an actual earthquake hit Japan right around early Spring of 2011.
* HoYay: [[spoiler:Enomoto]] takes his coffee with HO YAY.
* MisaimedMarketing: Amazon sells a greatest hits version under the romance genre. Unlike ''VisualNovel/Ever17'', this has no dating elements.
* NightmareFuel: Bad End #8, in which [[spoiler:Yomogi goes crazy and kills his way through the shelter cabin residents until Kokoro decides she'd rather run out into the middle of a frozen wasteland to die than be left alone with him]]. Also, any of the endings where [[spoiler:Utsumi kills Hotori]].
* OneSceneWonder: [[spoiler:Enomoto]] only shows up alive in a grand total of two scenes in the game (one of them being in a Bad Ending), but his scenes are amongst the most memorable.
* {{Squick}}: [[spoiler:Utsumi]] was only fourteen years old when she gave birth to [[spoiler:Junichi]] as a result of rape by an unnamed Japanese tourist. [[spoiler:Seiji]], who took responsibility for the future underage mother, would have been twenty-three at the time and withstood a lot of unfair accusations of crime from his relatives. On another note, both are HappilyMarried.
* StoicWoobie: Yomogi Seiji can even enjoy this role. [[spoiler: From the very beginning of his sports career, he agreed to endure a terrible stigma from his family and friends for the sake of his living treasure from the journey, Kali, just to give her a normal life. And he took care of her illegitimate son as if he were his own offspring throughout the whole boy's life.]] In a tense situation, already wise to an unbearable life experience, this man in his mid-30s gets a lot of mental blows in a short period of time, but is definitely not inclined to complain. Kokoro is the only one acutely aware of this, and only her right choices can prevent his final breakdown.
* VindicatedByHistory: Upon its initial release, the game received mixed reception for its somewhat different style from the previous Infinity titles, its [[spoiler:NoEnding]] nature, and a [[spoiler:lack of answers to a multitude of its mysteries]]. Years later, with the introduction of supplementary material that allowed players to fill in more of the gaps and provide a stronger basis for solutions, it has been more warmly received, with many considering it to be on par, if not better, than ''VisualNovel/Ever17''.
