* BishonenJumpSyndrome: Despite not being a ''Magazine/ShonenJump'' manga, most of the main male characters are {{Bishonen}}.
* FridgeLogic: [[spoiler: If the entire game took place in an augmented world, how were the characters able to move around and interact with the scenery?]]
* {{Narm}}: Some chapters have so much absurd violence, {{fanservice}} for no good reason, and/or just plain weird behavior, that it gets hard to take seriously. Special points go to the {{Combat Sadomasochist}}s who enjoy themselves way too much.
* TooBleakStoppedCaring: From chapters 40 onward, there's so much needless violence, much of it so weird and bizarre, that one can't help but [[{{Narm}} laugh]] rather than feel sorry for the victims. It doesn't help that several of the characters are outright jerkasses if not sociopathic, including the main character of part two.
* WhatDoYouMeanItsForKids: While it's outright a children's manga, it's still classified as {{Shonen}} when it has elements more fitting for a {{Seinen}} manga.
