* AssPull: Regardless of it being first being brought up in the preceding comic, the reveal that Lawrence teleported Dr. Nefarious away before his space station exploded at the end of A Crack in Time is still a huge retcon that didn't sit well even with the fans who were excited to see him return. Not only was it not foreshadowed in the prior game at all, it also doesn't even make sense considering it had been well-established that Lawrence held great disdain for the doctor and only stuck around to collect a paycheck (something that's even brought up in this very game). Unfortunately this was an unavoidable outcome as series writer T.J. Fixman did write the previous game's ending with Nefarious' death in mind, but ExecutiveMeddling forced him to undo it regardless.
* CompleteMonster: [[spoiler:The Loki Master is the true mastermind of the Collectors. Hailing from a destroyed planet, the Loki Master arrived on planet Magnus and possessed the body of Mr. Dinkles, the eventual pet of Dr. Frumpus Croid. Betraying Croid, the Master took his colleague Nevo as a hostage, threatening his life to have him work for the Loki Master. Stealing dangerous creatures from throughout the galaxy, the Loki Master dumped them on Magnus, altering various habitats to suit them better, devastating the ecosystem while also having its Collectors terrorize the inhabitants of the planet to keep them in line for over a hundred years. Its master plan is to use Croid's technology to force its own and its fellow Lokis beings into more dangerous creatures with the goal of leaving Magnus and ripping the universe apart until there is only dust left.]]
* FridgeBrilliance: When Ratchet asks The Plumber if he has any cryptic advice on how to beat , he say he doesn't have that kind of advice, and then gives a knowing wink. [[spoiler: This is Foreshadowing of who the real villain is]].
* Sequelitis: All 4 One isn't well-loved among fans for focusing on multiplayer and a smaller plot compared to all the games preceding it, and being the first game released after A Crack in Time.
* SoOkayItsAverage: General consensus appears to be that it's actually not bad and is fairly funny, but the plot is cliche and it doesn't feel very much like a Ratchet & Clank game due to the drastically different gameplay style.
* TheyChangedItNowItSucks: The co-op focus and lack of camera controls and proper platforming sections may very well offend long-time fans of the series.
