* ArcNumber: All of their studio albums have 11 tracks on their regular edition, no matter how many tracks have been recorded for them. This has led to some good tracks being used as bonus tracks or b-sides instead. The band has never commented on why they insist on 11 tracks.
* BigLippedAlligatorMoment: "Te Quiero Puta", a track off of ''Rosenrot''. It's Rammstein's first (and to date, only) Spanish- language song, and unlike the rest of the album, it's so goofy and over the top that it borders on self-parody.
** Much like the cartoon sound effect in "Küss mich (Fellfrosch)" or the BluesRock of "Los", it's probably just a reminder that Rammstein have a sense of humour.
** "Amerika" off 'Reise Reise' and "Pussy" off 'Liebe Ist Fur Alle Da' were comedic singles that deliberately played up the band's GermanPeculiarities for all their worth.
* BrokenBase: ''Liebe Ist Für Alle Da'' is either one of their best albums, or it's their worst.
* CrazyAwesome: All of them.
* CreepyAwesome: When one thinks of Rammstein, their Creepy-Awesomeness is probably the first thing that comes to mind.
* CrossesTheLineTwice: Many of their videos, but especially "[[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin Pussy]]".
** The cover of ''Liebe ist für alle da'' also qualifies: the band stand around a naked girl lying on a table, with Till holding a meat cleaver. The CD inlay card unfolds to reveal that they then cross the line a few more times.
** This even applies to their official merchandise, such as their "Bück Dich" soap and "Mein Teil" place mats.
* CrowningMomentOfHeartwarming: The reason why the band has had the same lineup for 22 years is that they care about each other more than they care about industry pressure to make a new album or go on tour. As Kruspe put it:
-->''We never give a shit about the people who think we need to get a record out every two years and that's one of the reasons why we're still together with the same lineup. We take care of each other, and if somebody needs to take the time off or do something else, we listen.''
* EarWorm: ''You've got a pussy! I have a dickah!''
** ''Duuuu... Du Hast... Du Hast mich...''
** ''Links... Links... Links! Zwo! Drei! Vier!''
** ''We're all living in Amerika... Amerika ist wunderbar...''
** ''Feuer Frei! Bang!! Bang!!''
* EpicRiff: "Links 2-3-4", "Sehnsucht", "Tier", and the list goes on and on.
* EpilepticTrees: There's a theory which says that "Haifisch" is their swan song, and that the band will break up. We shall see.
** On the B-Side of the "Mein Land" single, there is a song called "Vergiss Uns Nicht" (translated: Don't Forget Us) which is sending fans into a panic as well.
** Considering the Mein Herz Brennt single and B-side, it seems that they're just taking one of their famously long breaks so Richard can go do Emigrate stuff again and Till can write poetry and relax.
* EvenBetterSequel: In America, anyway. ''Sehnsucht'' (namely the song "Du Hast") was what put Rammstein on the map in America, and "Du Hast" is still the song most Americans remember Rammstein for (thanks in part to ''VideoGame/GuitarHero 5'').
* SugarWiki/FunnyMoments: See [[Funny/{{Rammstein}} the page]].
* GermansLoveDavidHasselhoff: They have an ''insanely huge'' foreign fanbase. There's a reason of why [[TropeNamers the German name]] for the GermansLoveDavidHasselhoff trope is called [[De/AmerikanerLiebenRammstein "Americans Love Rammstein"]]...
** [[NeverAcceptedInHisHometown Never Accepted in Their Hometown]]: ...Something that can't be applied to their hometown. To put it in [[http://heavymetal.about.com/od/interviews/a/rammsteininterview.htm Paul Landers's words]]: --> ''"We have such a bad reputation in Germany it canít get any worse elsewhere."''
** Case in point: Völkerball, which takes place at Les Arenes de Nimes, France... to a packed crowd (Wiki/{{Wikipedia}} calls capacity at 16,300).
** You know the Madison Square Garden show? It was sold out ''thirty minutes'' after tickets went on sale, making Rammstein the first German band in history to accomplish that feat.
** Rammstein are huge in Russia, to the point where many of their interviews are conducted there and many bootlegs originate out of Russia. Due to the band members originating from the former Soviet state of EastGermany, they are at ease with EasternEuropean culture. "Moskau", featuring then popular Russian girl group TATU, was written for their Russian fanbase. On a darker note, pirating of their music (mostly originating out of Russia), has made it unusually difficult to find their [=CDs=] second hand in any Western country because so many have downloaded their music illegally.
* SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments: The video for "Ohne Dich". There's also [[http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n274/timeladyfred/vlcsnap-1831575.png this.]] Especially keeping in mind Flake's status as TheChewToy, this falls under [[AwLookTheyReallyDoLoveEachOther Aww, Look! They Really Do Give a Damn About Him]].
* HilariousInHindsight:
** On the packaging of ''Liebe Ist Für Alle Da'', the band censored 'Buckstabu' as 'B***' to make fun of the German government's tendency for censorship (even though it was a made up word). It became this trope when the German government forced the band to remove 'Ich Tu Dir Weh' from the same album shortly after release, due to its lyrics, and refused to let the band promote the album. The band was not happy about this, and simply crossed out the title, replaced the track with four seconds silence, wrote on the packaging [in German] "Removed by order of the German government", and encouraged fans to not buy this version and instead buy the uncensored version from their website. The ban was eventually lifted due to the controversy, though Rammstein later sued the government for the losses they made on recalling many copies of the album and being unable to promote it.
** "Stein um Stein" becomes pretty funny if you have seen {{Webcomic/Nichtlustig}} cartoons about [[http://static.notfunny.com/toondb/130502.html Mr. Riebmann]].
** The video for "Mein Land" gets even funnier after people discovered that metal and surf music [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dVqqWUyDPzA are the same thing]].
* HoYay:
** The Infamous "Bück Dich" ("Bend Down/Over"). Till has been simulating exactly what the song is about on Flake ever since they first started touring. Barring some change-ups due to being arrested in Massachusetts for it back in '98.
*** Ever since the music video for "Mein Teil," the band sometimes opens Bück Dich leashed and crawling onstage with a mussed Frau Schneider whipping them the whole way.
** The original music video for "Du riechst so gut" definitely has a degree of this, what with all those shiny, shirtless bodies...
** The music video for "Mann Gegen Mann"-about the ups and downs of being a gay man-has all the band members performing nearly or completely naked amidst swarms of buff naked men.
** Outside of performances and music videos, things like [[http://i.imgur.com/IVLvBGn.png these]] [[http://i.imgur.com/rvgfKMj.jpg pictures]] pop up from time to time, much to the delight of [[RealPersonFic the shippers]].
** [[spoiler:Paul has fantasies about Till-in-the-Snow-White-dress spanking him]] in the "Haifisch" video.
* InternetBackdraft: Be warned about labeling Rammstein [[AllGermansAreNazis as a band of Nazis]] or, as a lesser example, arguing over the correct meaning of "Du Hast."
* MexicansLoveSpeedyGonzales: Both "Moskau" (Moscow, Russia) and "Amerika" (USA) deal with negative aspects of the places they are about, but fans from those places tend to love them anyway.
* MisBlamed:
** Jonas Akerlund, who directed the videos for "Pussy" and "Ich Tu Dir Weh", has directed [[NotableMusicVideos some pretty damn good music videos]] in his career, such as Metallica's videos for their covers of "Turn The Page" and "Whiskey In The Jar," as well as Prodigy's infamous "Smack My Bitch Up" video. However, some fans of the band just didn't feel either of those videos were up to the quality expected of Rammstein music videos and blamed him. Granted, there is the mitigating circumstance that neither "Pussy" or "Ich tu dir weh" were that widely distributed, relegated to being hosted on a porn site ("Pussy" for obvious reasons, "Ich tu dir weh" because of the indexing), but this isn't the point.
** There are a fair number of people that accuse them of being a band of Nazis without good reason.
* SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome: The videos for "Ich Will" and "Sonne" are considered by many fans to be Rammstein's greatest videos.
* {{Mondegreen}}:
** "Links 2-3-4"'s title can be misheard as "Links to drive fear" in the song.
** The less said about the opening line of "Seemann"[[note]]"Komm in mein Boot"[[/note]], the better. Before they were disabled, the YouTube comments on the video were full of people essentially going HehHehYouSaidX.
* NarmCharm: The first 75% of the "Mein Land" video which is basically the best video the Beach Boys never made, except it's set to Industrial Metal music.
* NightmareFuel: They wouldn't be Rammstein without it!
** The video for "Mein Teil" depicts [[spoiler:two members writhing around in pain, one wrestling his double, one being fellated by an angel and subsequently eating her wings, [[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking one struggling to perform ballet]], and the last dressed in drag (supposed to be the mother of the cannibal the song was about).]]
*** "Mein Teil", even without the video, is still a horribly frightening song. Lyrically, it concerns [[spoiler: a real event of cannibalism that happened in Germany.]] And then there's the bridge, which is filled with distorted, backward screams.
** "Dalai Lama". It's the combination of incredibly heavy riffing, ethereal keyboards, morbid subject matter and vocals.
** The lyrics to "Stein um Stein" are, [[http://herzeleid.com/en/lyrics/reise_reise/stein_um_stein quite frankly, terrifying]].
** Also the lyrics to "Du Riechst So Gut" are [[http://herzeleid.com/en/lyrics/herzeleid#du_riechst_so_gut disturbing]]. It's the ultimate ObsessionSong with the stalkee getting raped by the stalker.
*** The title translates to [[{{Squick}} "You Smell so Good."]]
** "Spieluhr" is about a child dying on purpose, getting buried and ''waking up in the grave''.
** "Wo Bist Du" (Where Are You?) is about someone whose wife no longer loves him, and has run away. It initially seems like she's been killed, but it also sounds like she's run away because he plans to kill her (sleeps with a knife).
* RealPersonFic: Plenty, mostly of the HoYay variety.
* SignatureSong: "Du Hast".
* TearJerker: See the [[TearJerker/{{Rammstein}} tearjerker page for this band]].
* TheyChangedItNowItSucks: Most of Rammstein's music videos had some sort of plot in the video. "Pussy" and "Ich tu dir weh"... did not. ("Pussy" was just gratuitous porn and "Ich tu dir weh" was a performance video.) They're already among the least liked videos. Hearing that the next video, "Haifisch", would go back to the normal formula had many fans breathing a sigh of relief.
* TheWoobie: One reason of why Flake is a fan favorite. He gets put through so much both on stage and in the music videos, he is either TheChewToy or the Woobie to fans.
* YokoOhNo: Caron Bernstein, Kruspe's ex-wife. Other significant others have gotten this treatment too, but not to the extent Caron had.
