* ArcFatigue: Chapter 11 has this big time. It started in 2016 and is still not resolved as of February 2021. This is largely due to the switch from the comic updating three times per week all the way down to once per ''month'', which has slowed progress down to a crawl.
* EnsembleDarkhorse: Zodon.
* GeniusBonus: The ComicBook/{{Superman}} {{Expy}} is an Argonian from the planet Argos. Argon is also the name of a chemical element, which belongs to the category of elements known as noble gases -- the same category that the element krypton is in.
* JerksAreWorseThanVillains: In a series where several villains have appeared and they run the whole gamut from [[GoKartingWithBowser harmless because they are on their time off]] ([[spoiler:Mr. Von Fogg]]) to outright vile ([[spoiler:[[SuperSupremacist the Argonians]]]]), you won't find any fans who have any love for Mr. and Mrs. Marlocke, who literally want Tyler to get superpowers or die trying [[spoiler:and develop a case of ParentalFavoritism for Tyler's clone, because he has superpowers, so bad that Toby uses [[RealityWarper said powers]] to put a stop to it - and it still only met them halfway.]]
* {{Narm}}: The lower-teeth-over-upper-lip face [[spoiler:Toby]] keeps pulling when he gets excited doesn't make ''any'' sense. If the author was aiming for CreepyChild, he merely hit "dorky". He's probably trying to represent him experiencing something like a seizure.
* NightmareFuel:
** Invoked by the Revenant when discussing [[spoiler:Harold's power nullification and enhancement abilities]]. A lot of supers have a very bad response to the idea of someone messing with their powers.
** Some of the alternate versions of himself Tyler sees in the mirrors at The Castle Beyond Time and Space are pretty nightmare-inducing. In one he is a powerful telepath who has accidentally linked everybody else together in a hivemind, making him the only lonely person in the world (see GoneHorriblyRight in the main page). In another, he is the strongest meta-prodigy at ComicBook/PS238 - and uses his power to harm and bully everybody else. Imagine seeing your friends being bullied - and then imagine that the bully is ''you''.
*** How he bullies Ambriel is particularly nightmarish; since he can't hurt her directly, he [[IWillPunishYourFriendForYourFailure attacks the other students to make her comply with him]], even stating that Julie would look good in the infirmary...''and this is all but stated to be routine occurrence''.
